Pasar Ahad Kertak Hanyar is a traditional market that has evolved from the Dutch East Indies era. Pasar Ahad was established in 2005 through a cooperation with the Build-to-Sell (BGS) system, between the Banjar district government and PT Seraba Kawa which ended in 2023. The condition of the Ahad market building is increasingly concerning, especially the number of dead spaces in the market layout that have been abandoned by traders as a result of buyer behavior. The behavior of buyers tends to follow the main route or easily accessible route and the behavior of traders tends to adjust and can interfere with the comfort of buyers. In other words, there is a correlation between spatial layout and user behavior that can affect the sustainability of space functions. The design of Ahad Market in Kertak Hanyar emphasizes the spatial aspects and affordability. The Behavioral Architecture approach was chosen as the basis for understanding user behavior in space to create a spatial layout by the principles of behavioral architecture. The concept of Connectivity is present as a dialectical representation of users with space that serves as the basis for design improvements. The layout with a linear circulation system results from the connectivity of physical and visual concepts in the market building.

As time goes by, today's children begin to entertain themselves with modern games, causing traditional games to lose their existence. Therefore, Banjarbaru City made efforts to preserve traditional games by organizing traditional game competitions which were attended by several students in Banjarbaru. In addition, Banjarbaru City was also named as a Child Friendly City with the issuance of regional regulation Number 16 of 2019. To support the fulfillment of children's rights contained in the regulation and the unavailability of a place that can accommodate the introduction, preservation, and playing facilities of traditional games in Banjarbaru, there is a need for a Children's Traditional Game Center in Banjarbaru City. To solve the design problem, the concept of educational recreation is used as a form of activity, physical, and spatial embodiment that can make children feel happy, entertained, happy while getting lessons about traditional games in this game center and the concept is combined with the Architectural Psychology method as an age limit for actors and a benchmark for the physical embodiment of the design.

Technological advancements have significantly altered the way students learn, pushing them towards seeking more relaxed and comfortable learning environments outside educational institutions. Nowadays, students often opt for cafes as alternative study spaces, although this choice misaligns with the primary function of cafes and can disrupt patrons who are there solely for dining. The scarcity of adequate external educational facilities has led to competition for ideal study spaces. In this context, the Learning Center emerges as a solution by providing a space specifically designed to accommodate and meet students' educational needs. To achieve this, a Hybrid Architecture approach is employed, merging the functions of a study environment and a cafe. The Learning Center thus fosters an inclusive and supportive learning environment, addressing both the educational and social needs of students.

ABSTRACT Rock climbing is a sport that is not foreign in Indonesia, but Federasi Panjat Tebing Indonesia (FPTI) says that the facilities in Banjarbaru are still underdeveloped. These inadequate and unattractive facilities are the cause of the lack of public awareness of this sport even though the sport is starting to develop rapidly. Athletes who have succeeded in winning several national championships face difficulties due to the lack of proper facilities, the general public also cannot try this sport for those who are interested in it as recreation or just want to doing it as a hobby without having to join a certain organization or having to travel quite a long distance to do rock climbing on natural mountains. For this reason, a rock climbing sports center that meets the standards and is recreational is needed in Banjarbaru. The design of the rock climbing center in Banjarbaru uses Contemporary Architecture as the methods and with adaptive space concepts where the space, circulation and furnitures in the building adapts to various activities so that they can take place at the same time and increasing social interaction.

The design of the Youth Creative Center in Tabalong is an effort to realize the development of the creative industry in Tabalong by looking at the nature of innovation that continues to change and increase. Therefore, a flexible space is needed to adapt to these changes. This building design applies flexible architectural methods by using the flex-space concept implemented through three miniconcepts namely, expansibility, convertibility, and versability; and by paying attention to the principles of adaptable, movable, universal, and transformable in a space. Through the application of flexible architecture methods, the concept of flex-space is achieved with adaptability, ease of collaboration and interaction, and optimization of space functions.

The type of achievement sports is influenced by endogenous factors or within a person (talent), as well as exogenous which means external factors or environmental factors that affect a person. The Badminton Sports Hall in Banjarmasin is a place designed to meet and support the needs of an athlete to channel the skills and talents possessed by individuals or groups. Badminton in Banjarmasin has many fans and is one of the sports that can compete at the national level which causes the government and private parties to provide athlete training. The PMI Headquarters as an operational forum for martyrdom is a provider of blood transfusion health facilities in the form of a Unit Donor Darah (UDD). The blood service organized by the Indonesian Red Cross strives to provide access to services with an accessible environment for everyone. This is to support one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on health and welfare. In the capital region of South Kalimantan, PMI Kota Banjarbaru is one of the organizations of the national association in the field of social humanitarianism that actively operates to help the community. In terms of the availability of operational containers, PMI Kota Banjarbaru does not have a headquarters as a tool for humanitarian facilities and infrastructure. This is certainly a problem for PMI Kota Banjarbaru in its duties. Access to blood services needed by the community is also hampered due to the lack of availability of blood transfusion health facilities. Therefore, this design is intended to encourage the government to build and improve the effectiveness of PMI Headquarters in the future. Through the concept of accessible building with a functional architecture approach that considers local aspects, it is hoped to produce a design for the “Markas PMI Kota Banjarbaru”, that is accessible, inclusive, and efficient, thus supporting the headquarters function in providing services.

Tanah Bumbu students are spread across several areas of South Kalimantan to continue their studies at university. In this case, the Tanah Bumbu Regional Government provides student housing facilities to students in the Tanah Bumbu area in the form of student dormitories. One of the Tanah Bumbu student dormitories is in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. However, the available dormitory facilities do not meet the standards according to the function of student housing. Student dormitories as student housing have the function of a place to live (residential function), a place to study (educational function) and a place to socialize (social function). Through an architectural program method approach and a multifunctional concept, the zoning of the student dormitory site and space produces a design that not only accommodates residential functions, but is also able to accommodate educational and social functions in accordance with student residential function standards.

The number of visits and tourist attractions in Pagatan Regency, Tanah Bumbu is increasing every year. One of the needs that will influence the increase in tourists in the area is the need for souvenir centers. Based on data in the field, the existence of souvenir centers is not well organized, the existing souvenir shops are still scattered with different types of products in each shop so that tourists need a lot of time to look for souvenirs. So there is a need for a souvenir center that can accommodate shopping needs in one place as an educational place and can display the characteristics of the Pagatan Tanah Bumbu area through its visual appearance. This is in line with the concept promoted, namely one stop shopping. To realize this plan, the Neo-vernacular architectural approach concept of the Tanah Bumbu traditional house was used. The application of this house is to adopt the roof shape of the Tanah Bumbu traditional house, namely using a shield roof.

The ULM Banjarbaru Studio and Art Gallery is a forum for developing interests and talents which functions to accommodate all artistic activities within the ULM Banjarbaru campus, including the process of creating and displaying works. This is motivated by the unavailability of a special, integrated place to support the activities of students engaged in the arts. This Studio and Art Gallery also goes hand in hand with efforts to increase the competency of educational practices by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology as well as UUD NO. 12 of 2012. The concept of "Expressionist Architecture" with a metaphorical approach is applied to design to produce free, dynamic and creative designs in accordance with meaning. art itself. By implementing concepts such as Dynamic Building Form, Flexible Area, and Spatial Expressions, buildings can become containers that have their own expression and are expected to support the manufacturing process so that the appearance of the work becomes more optimal so that it can become an educational and recreational medium for students and the wider community.
