Abstract

This study aims to develop a Learning Media Booklet with the theme of Diversity of Professions and Their Roles, and to examine students' learning interest when using the booklet media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) Model developed by Brog & Gall, simplified into 7 stages, including (1) pre-survey, (2) initial planning, (3) development of initial product, (4) initial product expert testing, (5) revision of initial product, (6) main field trial, and (7) evaluation of final product. The instructional media trial was conducted at Ma'arif Bulusari Islamic Elementary School, Bumi Ratu Nuban Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The average ratings given by content experts, media experts, and language experts are 3.77, 3.66, and 3.85, respectively, which are categorized as very good, appropriate, and highly appropriate, in that order. The results of the student's learning interest test indicate a significant difference between using the instructional media booklet and not using the booklet, with an increase of 86.43% when using the instructional media booklet. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Diversity of Professions and Their Roles Learning Booklet meets the criteria for usability and can be tested in the third-grade class of Ma'arif Bulusari Islamic Elementary School.

Abstract

The limited face-to-face learning (PTMT policy implemented by the Indonesian government during the COVID-19 pandemic has received two forms of resistance: closed (practiced by teachers, parents, and students) and open (practiced by teachers). This resistance has made it difficult to resume face-to-face learning. As such, this article seeks to illustrate the public's resistance to the PTMT policy and analyze the implications of this resistance. This article relies on data collected from online media as well as interviews with representatives of diverse elements of society. It shows that resistance has been rooted in several factors: familiarity with online learning, concern that health protocols would not be optimally implemented; and economic concerns. This article recommends conducting further research to obtain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the public's resistance to PTMT.

Abstract

The results of observations and interviews at elementary school showed that Indonesian history material was considered material that was difficult for students to accept and understand. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of video based learning on cognitive learning outcomes of Indonesian history material in elementary schools. This research method is an experiment. The form of the experimental design used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group type. Data analysis was carried out through tests for normality, homogeneity, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. The first hypothesis test, namely the paired sample t-test, shows that there is an influence seen from Lower and Upper which is negative, namely Upper is -18.270 and Lower is -27.312. Sig. Value (2-tailed) shows the number 0.000 which means <0.05. The second hypothesis test, namely the independent sample t-test, shows that there is a difference seen from Lower and Upper which is negative, namely Lower is -13.651 and Upper is -3.109. Sig. Value (2-tailed) shows the number 0.002 which means <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It was concluded that the video based learning had an effect on the cognitive learning outcomes of Indonesian historical material at SDN 02 Temulus. Videos based learning can be used as an alternate learning resource in elementary schools to help students comprehend Indonesian history.

Abstract

At both the secondary and tertiary education level, Indonesia's low research ability is a sign which prospective teachers have not demonstrated the best research abilities. The purpose of this study was to identify skills in understanding research methodology for prospective teachers at islamic elementary school. The research method used is a case study using a qualitative approach. The data used are primary data and secondary data, primary data obtained through observation and interviews with 23 prospective teachers in class VI while secondary data researchers obtained from supporting reference documents in the form of relevant articles and books. Data validation is in the form of data triangulation with three classifications, namely analysis, interpretation and conclusion. The results of the findings of this study are the ability to observe problems that will be identified later. Achievement with this indicator has not shown optimal achievement. The ability to interpret the problem with the formulation of the problem. The achievement of this indicator is not optimal. The ability to group variables to formulate hypotheses. The achievement of this indicator has shown optimal ability. The ability to take samples to make research designs, the achievement of this indicator has experienced optimal achievement. The ability to collect, analyze and compare data, the ability to collect and analyze data has been optimally achieved because it is supported by observational data such as the spontaneity of prospective teachers when given assignments or questions and answers in class regarding the indicators contained in this study while for the ability to observe problems , formulating problems and comparing data that has not been optimally achieved due to the lack of reading literature and the condition of prospective teachers who take part in online learning because there is a task of introducing school fields (PLP) outside the campus so that the understanding of prospective teachers is not optimal.

Abstract

The curriculum is a school design as a guideline for implementing learning activities to achieve educational goals. Curriculum development is an effort made so that the curriculum used is relevant to use according to the conditions that exist in schools. Many schools only imitate the curriculum from other educational units and do not develop a curriculum using the curriculum development model. The purpose of this study is to reveal the application of the Skillbeck model of curriculum development in an effort to guarantee school quality which is expected to be useful for schools as a reference in efforts to develop curriculum in their schools. This study uses a qualitative research approach. While the data collection techniques used in this study were obtained through interviews. Interviews were conducted with 3 informants consisting of the school principal, vice curricula and class teacher. Data analysis techniques are carried out by condensing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions or verification. The Skilbeck curriculum development model is a curriculum development design that has the advantage of being structured in stages and able to answer existing problems with organized and clear stages. This can be seen from the systematic stages and being able to represent the goals of curriculum development. The difference between the Skillbeck curriculum development model and other curriculum development models is that the teacher has the right to determine the school curriculum so that it is in accordance with the goals to be achieved because this curriculum is dynamic. The skilbeck curriculum development model is carried out by carrying out five stages, namely situation analysis, formulating objectives, formulating programs, implementation, and finally monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the unavailability of contextual learning-based E-Modules in Civic lessson for Class IV Student of Insan Mandiri Elementary School at Bandar Lampung, so teaching and learning activities in class are still lacking in variety. E-Module are important for students to use because they make learning easier. A contextual approach is used to help student learn by associating learning material with the life around. The research method of this study used Development Research with the ADDIE model. Questionnaires, interviews, tests as data collection tools. This research is analyzed and explained with numbers and descriptive. Based on the results of the research, the material validation results were 83%, language validation was 93%, and design validation was 91%. The results of the teacher's response test were 78% and the student's response test was 80% in the "Decent" category. The effectiveness test obtained an average of 91 in the "Very High" effectiveness category. This research shows that the development of Civics E-Module teaching products based on contextual learning is urgently needed and deserves to be disseminated.
