Abstract

This study aims to determine the concept of ethical education thinking formulated by Ibn Maskawaih. This research uses aapproachlibrary research. The result of this research is that Ibn Maskawaih's educational thinking is actually more inclined to morals and ethics. Human ethics in the perspective of Ibn Maskawaih can be classified into two, namely the first, the natural and the second, the other character is obtained through habit and practice. The perspective developed by Ibn Maskawaih that the character or ethics derived from human character can be changed depending on the extent of business, education and environment. Ethical education from Ibn Maskawaih's perspective is based on the concept of human beings, where the task of ethical education is to strengthen the positive forces possessed by human beings in order to achieve a balanced human level so that deeds that are simply good and born spontaneously. With the application of ethics, then in his life, man is expected to be a perfect human being which he calls isabah al-khuluqi al-syarif (the formation of a noble ethical personality). This concept is in line with the current era as a stimulus for education to continue to formulate ethical education that is able to survive in the midst of current moral degradation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the declining moral values among the younger generation, influenced by technology and globalization, as reflected in weakened attitudes of politeness, honesty, responsibility, and tolerance. In this context, Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT), as a traditional martial arts organization, plays a strategic role in instilling noble values and fostering youth character development. The research aims to identify the moral values taught and analyze the internalization process within PSHT’s martial arts training in East Lombok Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Research subjects were selected purposively and included branch and sub-branch leaders, trainers, and PSHT members from the Sikur, Terara, and Montong Gading areas. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that the internalized values include honesty, responsibility, politeness, empathy, tolerance, maturity, and wisdom. The internalization process is carried out systematically through physical training integrated with mental and spiritual development, shaping members who are resilient both physically and morally. The study concludes that PSHT has successfully instilled noble values through structured and consistent character education. The implication is that PSHT can serve as a model for youth character development, offering a viable solution to the moral crisis of the modern era.

Abstract

Moral and character degradation among students remains a serious challenge in education, as reflected in undisciplined behavior, low responsibility, and limited spiritual awareness. Consequently, teachers are expected not only to emphasize cognitive aspects but also to integrate prophetic values into learning to shape students into faithful, virtuous, and responsible individuals. This study aims to describe the implementation of prophetic education values in Akidah Akhlak learning and to analyze their relevance to character development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and verification stages, with credibility tested using source and technique triangulation. Informants were selected through purposive sampling. The findings show that the implementation of prophetic education values at MA Islahul Ummah Dasan Aman is carried out through curriculum integration, teacher role modeling, and the reinforcement of prophetic values in Akidah Akhlak learning. Its relevance is evident in the alignment of learning objectives with prophetic education, the integration of prophetic values into subject matter, teaching methods that reflect prophetic principles, curriculum objectives, learning strategies, and supportive learning environments. The study affirms that prophetic education plays a significant role in character development through Akidah Akhlak instruction.
