Abstract

Abstrak_ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan karakteristik arsitektur bangunan peninggalan sejarah di kota Makassar. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode penelitian rasionalisme dalam bentuk kualitatif dengan pendekatan ciri fisik bangunan kolonial yang berada di kota Makassar. Kriteria pemilihan sampel berdasarkan aspek keaslian fisik bangunan berupa fasad. Melalui penelitian ini penulis dapat mengidentifikasi karakteristik  arsitektur  pada bangunan peninggalan sejarah  di kota Makassar  dengan mengambil  acuan dari beberapa teori seperti teori fungsi. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan masyarakat dan pemerintah mampu mempertahankan keaslian fisik bangunan berupa fasade, karena fasade bangunan merupakan tam pilan luar yang mempunyai karakteristik yang menonjolkan peran bangunan.Kata kunci: Karakteristik, bangunan heritage, Elemen bangunan.   Abstract _ This study aims to reveal the characteristics of architectural heritage buildings in the city of Makassar. The research method used is the research method of rationalism in the qualitative form with the approach of the physical character of colonial buildings located in Makassar city. Sample selection criteria based on the physical aspect of the building in the form of the facade. Through this research, the writer can identify the architectural character of the heritage building in Makassar city by taking reference from several theories such as function theory. Through this research, it is hoped that the society and the government will be able to maintain the physical origin of the building in the form of the facade because the building facade is the outward appearance that has the characteristic that emphasizes the role of the building.Keywords: Characteristics; Heritage buildings; Elements of buildings.

Abstract

Although traditional markets are vital public venues for social, commercial, and cultural activity, they frequently suffer a number of difficulties that make patrons uncomfortable.  The Mattirowalie Traditional Market, a commercial market in Barru Regency, has poor facilities and management problems that make shopping there less enjoyable.  In order to redesign the Mattirowalie Traditional Market, this study will employ a sustainable architecture strategy that strikes a balance between social, economic, and environmental factors.  In addition to case studies of comparable markets, the research involves interviews with users and market administrators.  Enhancing user comfort, boosting local economic growth, and promoting sustainability are the anticipated results..
