Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to develop ELENA, an Android learning application to promote independent learning and advance student writing abilities specifically regarding letters and announcements. The researcher utilized the Research and Development methodology to build the application, following Maribe Branch’s ADDIE model of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation during the creation process. The intended users were 11th grade students at SMK Ar-Rahman Peterongan Jombang. Data collection involved interviews and questionnaires. Expert media evaluation indicated a 97.91% suitability score, meaning the application provided an interesting and interactive platform to learn English. The material expert’s 87.5% score confirmed appropriate educational content for the learning objectives. The 87.7% implementation score showed increased student engagement and activity applying letter and announcement writing skills. Students were more motivated to write in English on those topics while using the technology. Final assessment demonstrated the application’s success at elevating writing proficiency in the target formats of letters and announcements for the participant group based on the metrics utilized in the study. In summary, this customized mobile learning solution enabled independent study and led to measurable writing gains related to the specified skills of letters and announcements for the sample 11th grade vocational high school students. KEYWORDS: Learning Media; ELENA; Writing; Letters and Announcements; Senior High School.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ELENA, sebuah aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang dirancang untuk mempromosikan pembelajaran mandiri dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa, khususnya dalam menulis surat dan pengumuman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Penelitian dan Pengembangan, mengikuti model ADDIE dari Maribe Branch yang mencakup analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi dalam proses pembuatannya. Aplikasi ini ditujukan untuk siswa kelas XI di SMK Ar-Rahman Peterongan Jombang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner. Evaluasi oleh ahli media menunjukkan skor kesesuaian sebesar 97,91%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa aplikasi ini menawarkan platform yang menarik dan interaktif untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Skor 87,5% dari ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa konten edukasi yang disediakan sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Skor implementasi sebesar 87,7% menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan dan aktivitas siswa dalam menerapkan keterampilan menulis surat dan pengumuman. Siswa lebih termotivasi untuk menulis dalam bahasa Inggris mengenai topik-topik tersebut saat menggunakan aplikasi ini. Penilaian akhir menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini berhasil meningkatkan kemahiran menulis siswa dalam format surat dan pengumuman sesuai dengan metrik yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Secara keseluruhan, solusi pembelajaran mobile yang disesuaikan ini memungkinkan pembelajaran mandiri dan memberikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis yang terukur dalam keterampilan surat dan pengumuman bagi siswa kelas XI di sekolah menengah kejuruan. Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa Balongsari melalui peningkatan produktivitas pertanian. Dengan menerapkan pengenalan dan pemanfaatan sekam padi sebagai bricket ramah lingkungan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, memberdayakan petani di desa Balongsari. Melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan serta pendampingan dalam memanfaatkan sekam padi sebagai bricket ramah lingkungan, petani dapat mengembangkan keterampilan mereka dan menjadi lebih mandiri dalam mengelola usaha pertanian mereka dan membantu masyarakat pedesaan khususnya yang bekerja sebagai petani untuk mampu mengatasi masalah pencemaran dari limbah pertanian serta mempromosikan sekam padi sebagai bricket ramah lingkungan. Dalam kegiatan ini digunakan metode sosialisasi dan tatap muka mengenai pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan sekitar dan pemanfaatan limbah sawah, pelatihan cara membuat bricket sekam padi dan demonstrasi pembuatan bricket sekam padi. Dari hasil pelaksanaan program sosialisasi dan pelatihan bagi kelompok tani dan pemuda karang taruna dengan tema pemanfaatan sekam padi menjadi Bricket ramah lingkungan dapat memberi manfaat bagi kelompok tani, pemuda karang taruna dan umumnya untuk masyarakat desa Balongsari dalam hal pemanfaatan sekam padi menjadi produk bricket serta mengurangi pencemara udara. Penggunaan sekam padi sebagai bahan baku bricket sekam merupakan salah satu upaya penanggulangan limbah pertanian dan memberi manfaat lain yaitu dapat mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap bahan bakar minyak.

Abstract

Hydroponic planting media is a planting system that does not use soil to grow plants, instead it can use water. Many people already use hydroponic media but there is more effort to monitor the planting process, this is a new obstacle to the hydroponic system. Therefore, to support the hydroponic planting system to make it more efficient, this Pkm has a theme of IOT Based Irrigation. The location of this Pkm is in Kedunglumpang Village, Mojoagung subdistrict, Jombang district. Pkm participants include farmers, PKK, IPNU, and IPPNU. The result of this Pkm is that the majority of local people are familiar with hydroponic but do not understand the implementation process. Then, after attending the training, many people were enthusiastic about making hydroponic media using IoT technology in their yards.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design ELFI (English Fun Reading) based on an android for Reading lessons for X-grade students of vocational high school TI An-Najiyah Jombang. Then researcher make product in the application for learning media. This research used Research and Development method (R&D) that the researcher adapted from ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on the data on the development phase, the researcher got 91% on media validation which was categorized as a “worthy category” classification. While the result of material validation was 97% also categorized as a “worthy category” classification. Moreover, on implement phase, the result of students’ responses was 90% which could be categorized as an “interesting category” classification. From the data that this research showed, it can be said that this application was feasible and can be applied to Vocational High School Level.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding Schools have an important role in the formation of Islamic leadership and in producing graduate students as faithful people, pious, have noble morals, and follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Especially able to emulate and apply the leadership of the Prophet SAW which prioritizes leadership theory based on the values ​​of Shiddiq, Tabligh, Amanah, and Fathanah. This study aims to find out the learning strategies applied at the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang, the important role of boarding schools in forming students in Islamic leadership so that they can lead, direct, train, organize well to achieve the planned goals based on the values ​​of the Al-Quran and Sunnah, and analyze the factors, namely supporting and inhibiting factors that influence effective leadership at the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The types and methods used are qualitative methods using data collection interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that the leadership of the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang and teachers in guiding and providing knowledge were very important for students on how to become competent, responsible, forward-looking students, inspire many people, always were trustworthy, honest, and humble.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School 071052 Mondrali. Based on the analysis conducted, the teacher found that the low student performance was due to their lack of understanding of the material being taught, which resulted from the monotonous teaching method, namely, lecturing. This condition caused students to be less actively involved in the learning process. In addition, the teacher did not use teaching media that could engage students' interest, making the lessons less appealing. As an improvement effort, the researcher applied the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim of this research was to determine whether the implementation of the PBL model can improve the social studies learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School 071052 Mondrali. The method used in this study was a quantitative method with percentage formulas. The results show an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the initial data showed that only 9.09% or 1 student passed the learning process. However, in cycle 1, the percentage of students who passed increased to 27.3% or 3 students, and in cycle 2, it reached 100%, with all students successfully passing the social studies lesson on natural and man-made features in Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on the results of the situation analysis in partner schools, it was found that the problems experienced by partners were a lack of innovation in classroom learning and a lack of resources that mastered technology in learning. This community service activity aims to provide understanding and improve the skills of Jombang State SLB teachers in creating interesting and innovative learning media by integrating technology into learning. The learning media that will be produced is a digital dictionary for deaf students (KIRATU). This activity takes the form of socialization and training. The methods used are classical and individual methods. This PKM activity was said to be successful because the media product produced was very suitable for implementation in the classroom after being tested in the field and received a positive response and appreciation from the teachers. Teachers' understanding and skills also increased after participating in this activity.Keywords: digital dictionary; inclusive students; KIRATU; technology Abstrak: Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi di sekolah mitra, ditemukan bahwa permasalahan yang dialami mitra yaitu kurangnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran dikelas serta kurangnya sumber daya yang menguasai teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman serta meningkatkan keterampilan para guru SLB Negeri Jombang dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik serta inovatif dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi kedalam pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang akan dihasilkan berupa kamus digital untuk siswa tuna rungu (KIRATU). Kegiatan ini berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode klasikal dan individual. Kegiatan PKM ini dikatakan berhasil karena produk media yang dihasilkan sangat layak untuk di implementasikan di kelassetelah dilakukan ujicoba dilapangan serta mendapat respon positif dan apresiasi dari para guru. Abstract

The Microcontroller-based Smart Light Socialization Program for Village Apparatus aims to introduce smart technology that can improve the efficiency of electrical energy use in rural areas. This Smart Light system uses a microcontroller integrated with light sensors and motion sensors to automatically turn lights on and off, according to environmental conditions. The approaches or methods used in community service activities include Participatory Action Research (PAR). In this case, students conduct direct research in Kepuhrejo Village to implement the knowledge they have gained in the village community. This PAR is transformative and empowers the community. In addition, this community service activity also uses the Service Learning (SL) method, where in its implementation it directly involves the participation of participants, namely the target audience in this activity so that the Microcontroller-based Smart Light Introduction work program is created. This program has succeeded in increasing village apparatus awareness of Smart Light technology and its benefits in energy efficiency and environmental safety.

Abstract

This study is intended to develop assessment instrument by using Proprofs website for the evaluation of learning for first grade students of SMK Kreatif Hasbullah Jombang. This research uses Research and development (R&D) research methods and adapts ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results obtained from this development research are as follows: (1) The result of media validation is 4,1 (fair category), 2) The result of material validation is 4,5 (fair category). Based on the results, researcher concluded that Proprofs is deserved to be applied after going through a revision process to evaluate learning at SMK Kreatif Hasbullah, especially in evaluating the reading ability of English language learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of SmallTalk2Me as a learning tool, identify obstacles during its implementation, and investigate the role of SmallTalk2Me as an English speaking learning media at MTs Pesantren Al-Amin Sooko Mojokerto. This study used a mixed-methods approach, and data were collected from 26 male students through an English speaking test, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in students' speaking skill, though the effectiveness was limited by technical challenges such as unstable internet and noise in the classroom. Students preferred a blend of AI tools and traditional teaching methods. The study highlighted the potential of SmallTalk2Me in enhancing English speaking but recommended addressing infrastructure issues and incorporating longer implementation periods. Further research was suggested to focus on the long-term impact of AI-powered tools in language learning. Keywords: SmallTalk2Me; AI; Speaking Skill; The Effect.
