Abstract

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin Benth.; 2n = 32) is an aromatic herbaceous plant commonly cultivated for use in the the fragrance industry. As patchouli is propagated by cuttings polyploidization induction by colchicine treatment was conducted to obtain a new genotype with high patchouli alcohol content. This research aimed to increase patchouli genetic diversity with colchicine treatment by the formation of a polyploid plant. Axillary buds from single node cutting of aseptic plantlets were used as the explants. The experiment was arranged using a factorial completely randomized design with two factors, namely the concentration of colchicine and the immersion duration. Genetic diversity of patchouli was successfully enhanced by adjusting the colchicine concentration and immersion treatment. lethal concentration (LC) of 50% in patchouli was 0.132% and the LC 50% for soaking time was 60.16 hours. The number of chloroplasts, stomatal length and chromosome number increased with increasing ploidy, whereas stomatal density and the number of trichomes decreased. The chromosome number of 16 patchouli mutants in generation 4 was still unstable, and a chimera was found with mixoploidy between 20-80. A hierarchical dendogram clustered 16 patchouli mutants into four different groups.

Abstract

Desa Buduan adalah salah satu desa/kelurahan di Kecamatan Suboh, Kabupaten Situbondo, provinsi Jawa Timur. Pembangunan terus menerus dilakukan, lahan sawah beralih fungsi menjadi gedung-gedung, sehingga seakan menjadi sentral Desa dari kecamatan Suboh. Program pemerintah untuk desa salah satunya adalah peduli lingkungan. Masyarakat perlu diajak untuk peduli terhadap lingkungan salah satunya dengan pemanfaatan pekarangan dengan menanam tanaman. Banyaknya masyarakat belum memanfaatkan pekarangan rumahnya dengan menanam tanaman seperti tanaman sayur atau herbal. Pemanfaatan pekarangan dapat menjadi salah satu aksi peduli lingkungan. Rekomendasi untuk desa Buduan terdiri dari empat poin yaitu sosialisasi pemanfaatan pekarangan, pelatihan, distribusi tanaman sayur atau herbal untuk tiap rumah yang belum memanfaatkan pekarangannya, serta pengawasan.

Abstract

The Berkah MBR Women's Farmers Group operates in the agribusiness sector and was founded in 2020. Urban farming development activities (cultivation, processing and marketing) by utilizing existing land and resources are carried out on a massive scale by groups such as the MBR Berkah Farmers Group. The research was carried out on urban farming land belonging to the Berkah MBR Women's Farming Group and residents in Katulampa Village, East Bogor. The analytical methods used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to describe the perceptions of the Women Farmers Group and residents regarding the use of Digital Marketing. The type of data used is primary data obtained through a questionnaire using a questionnaire instrument implemented via Google Form. Based on research results, the Berkah MBR Women's Farming Group has the perception that conventional marketing of urban farming products needs to be supported by digital marketing. KWT MBR also generally believes that digital marketing techniques using WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram are important to learn and apply because they can generate large profits.

Abstract

Buduan Village, located in Suboh District, Situbondo Regency, East Java, is developing by continuously keeping up with the times so that rice fields are turned into buildings and structures. Buduan Village people's awareness of the environment still needs to grow, even though green open land is decreasing. Urban farming is introduced to the community to care for the environment and provide knowledge regarding several ways to grow crops on increasingly narrow land. Hydrogel is a planting medium in urban farming techniques that is easy to introduce to the public to increase interest in planting. The IPB Vocational School Homecoming Lecturer Team provided urban farming training using a planting system using hydrogel to the people of Buduan Suboh Village. This training activity aims to increase people's interest in planting. The training was carried out by providing urban farming material and continued with direct planting practice using hydrogel planting media. The Buduan Village Community attended this training from the Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) group and the Azzaidah recitation group; a total of 33 participants took part in the training. The results of this training provide knowledge about urban farming to the people of Buduan Suboh Village and the urban farming system. Planting using hydrogel media is implemented by the community in their respective home areas as an initial initiation into caring for the environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing content on customer satisfaction at PT Godongijo Asri, a tourist destination consisting of ecotainment education, restaurants and fishing lake. By involving 100 respondents, this research used the SWOT analysis method and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to evaluate the quality of digital marketing content and its impact on customer perception and satisfaction. The research results show that interesting and informative content can increase customer satisfaction. In addition, the company's internal analysis shows that PT Godongijo Asri is in Region I (Grow and Build) in the IE Matrix, which recommends growth and development strategies. Priority strategies include using brand awareness to create engaging content and diversifying content across various digital platforms. Even though many attributes are considered good, there are several aspects that need to be improved, such as clarity of information and website loading speed. In conclusion, digital marketing content has a significant influence on customer satisfaction, and companies are advised to continue to improve the quality of content and carry out regular updates to attract more customers.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat di SMK Boarding School Al-Jauharian, Kabupaten Cianjur, bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan sistem pertanian terpadu (integrated farming system) dengan fokus pada budidaya ikan lele dan tanaman melon. Program ini dirancang untuk mengatasi tantangan pembelajaran praktis di sekolah kejuruan dan meningkatkan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi dunia kerja di bidang agribisnis. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pembangunan mini greenhouse, pelatihan, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi yang melibatkan siswa dan guru secara aktif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan praktis siswa, efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya melalui pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan sebagai nutrisi tanaman, serta peningkatan pemahaman akan konsep pertanian berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan semangat kewirausahaan dan menjadi contoh praktik baik yang dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah-sekolah lain di wilayah Cianjur dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

The Community Engagement Program (PPM) organized by the Seed Industry Technology Study Program, Vocational School of IPB University, aims to address the challenges faced by the Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani, KWT) Ciharashas in Mulyaharja Village through training on vertical hydroponic techniques. This program encompasses problem identification, training, and optimizing greenhouse facilities. Problem identification revealed key issues such as greenhouse facility damage and the limited knowledge of KWT members regarding modern cultivation techniques. The training focused on vertical hydroponic system installation, nutrient management, and plant maintenance, emphasizing the efficient use of limited land. The greenhouse was repaired to support sustainable production and serve as a training hub. The training outcomes showed significant improvements in the understanding and skills of KWT members, as evidenced by pre-test and post-test results. Members are now capable of optimizing their yards, producing high-quality harvests, and increasing income through better marketing strategies. Post-training monitoring indicated the sustainability of the vertical hydroponic activities, with KWT members actively continuing the project independently. This program successfully created long-term positive impacts, including community empowerment, increased productivity, and sustainable agricultural solutions relevant to urban communities.

Abstract

Aglaonema ‘Siam Aurora’ is a foliage ornamental plant cultivar commonly used indoors, whose leaf coloration is influenced by shade levels. This study aimed to determine the effect of shade intensity on the vegetaitif and morphological changes of Aglaonema ‘Siam Aurora’. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four treatments: control (no shade), and shading using 55% paranet in one, two, and three layers. Observations were made on changes in leaf and stem color using the RHS Colour Chart, as well as on plant morphological growth. The results showed that shading had no significant effect on plant height, leaf length, and leaf width, but significantly affected the number of leaves during weeks 6 to 8. The color of the center and edges of the leaves developed optimally under all treatments, indicating the plant's physiological adaptation to low light conditions. Stem color differed in the early stages but tended to become uniform by week 8. Leaf shape showed initial variation but became uniform after the fifth week. These findings suggest that Aglaonema ‘Siam Aurora’ has high tolerance to low to moderate light intensity, and shading with one to two layers of 55% paranet is effective in maintaining leaf morphology and color. More extreme shading levels and longer planting durations are recommended to further explore morphological responses.

Abstract

Timun (Cucumis sativus L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang selain digunakan sebagai sayuran, timun juga dikenal memiliki berbagai manfaat kesehatan. Banyak penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa timun mengandung berbagai senyawa bioaktif akan tetapi tidak semua bagian timun dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk eksplorasi senyawa metabolit murni yang terkandung di daun, akar dan batang timun (Cucumis sativus L.) yang ditanam dalam lingkungan terkendali secara in vitro. Senyawa dianalisa menggunakan teknik Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). Tanaman hasil kultur in vitro dipengaruhi oleh faktor fisik yang cenderung stabil, terkendali, dan terhindar dari faktor stress cekaman lingkungan sehingga senyawa kimia yang dihasilkan murni. Hasil analisis GC-MS senyawa metabolit didapatkan kandungan Stigmasta-7,16-dien-3-ol, (3 beta, 5. alpha) dengan formula C29H48O dan Ethyl. Alpha, -d-glucopyranoside yang ditemukan pada akar, batang, dan daun. Persentase kandungan senyawa metabolit yang paling banyak kandungannya di akar adalah Stigmasta-7,16-dien-3-ol, (3 beta, 5. alpha). Persentase kandungan senyawa tertinggi yang ditemukan pada bagian batang planlet adalah senyawa IH-Indole. Phythol merupakan senyawa metabolit tertingi yang ditemukan di daun. Senyawa yang ditemukan diseluruh bagian morfologi planlet C. sativus yaitu Stigmasta-7,16-dien-3-ol, (3 beta, 5. alpha) dikenal juga dengan sebutan Stigmasterol memiliki manfaat sebagai anti kanker dan antioksidan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh organ planlet C. sativus dapat dimanfaatkan untuk antikanker dan antioksidan. Katakunci: antikanker, antioksidan, senyawa murni, stigmasterol
