Abstract

The reopening of tourism for tourists presents opportunities and challenges in improving the economy and public health status. The high potential of natural resources and tourism, combined with the lack of diversity in processing local food ingredients in Indramayu, requires action to maximize the management of local food ingredients from a technological aspect. This activity aims to improve the quality of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through guidance and assistance in ensuring the quality of each product menu offered to customers. The activity method consists of: Focus Group Discussions, Identification of Indramayu's Typical Souvenir Potentials, Hygiene-Sanitation Education and Assistance, as well as Nutrition Value Calculation and Packaging Design for one of the MSMEs, namely Abon Ikan Gabus. Based on community service activities that have been carried out, it was found that the potential of Indramayu's natural resources for producing nutritious souvenirs is still underutilized, and there is a need to increase knowledge about hygiene and sanitation in food service, as well as information about product nutrition values and attractive product packaging design. Therefore, it is concluded that the potential of Indramayu's typical souvenir products is high, with the availability of local food ingredients, adequate knowledge with branding for nutrition and packaging. Continuous guidance efforts and increasing the number of involved MSMEs need to be carried out.

Abstract

Healthy Eating Index was known as Indeks Gizi Seimbang in Indonesia. Healthy Eating Index is a measure of the suitability of subject consumption to the recommended meal portion from the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines. If the subject IGS score approaches the maximum number, this indicates a good quality of the subject food consumption and in accordance with the recommended Balanced Nutrition Guidelines. This study was aimed to determine the relationship of balanced nutritional index with nutritional status at adolescent women in SMK Kota Bekasi. This study was an observational analytic study by cross sectional design. The subject of this study was women adolescent with the age between 14-18 years old. This study was located in SMKN 2 Kota Bekasi, SMKN 3 Kota Bekasi, SMKN 5 Kota Bekasi, SMKS Bina Karya Mandiri, and SMKS Bina Husada Mandiri. Data collected by interview using FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire) then examined by chi square test. The percentage of food consumption quality with the bad category was 55% and with the very good category was only 6%. The conclusion of this study is there is no relationship between healthy eating index with the nutritional status of women adolescent. But there is a relationship between healthy eating index of the vegetables component with the nutritional status of women adolescent.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a nutritional problem that has a long-term impact. It has an impact on children's cognitive and physical development, serious infections, and makes a significant contribution to mortality and morbidity. According to WHO, the stunting rate in Indonesia is still high (30.8%). Maternal nutritional status contributes to fetal growth restriction which increases the risk of low birth weight and increases the risk of stunting. Objectives: This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal nutritional status during pregnancy and stunting in children aged 6-23 months in Karawang Regency. Methods: This study is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The number of samples was 207 children aged 6-23 months in Srikamulyan village, Karawang regency. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire to determine the identity of the child, the identity of the mother, the nutritional status of the child, the history of the nutritional status of the mother during pregnancy, and sociodemographic data. Anthropometric measurements of the mother's height using a microtoise and the child's body length using a length board. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. Results: The results showed that as many as 23.67% of children aged 6-23 months experienced stunting in Srikamulyan Village. Mothers who experience Chronic Energy Malnutrition during pregnancy as much as 8.2%. Data analysis showed that mothers with Chronic Energy Malnutrition during pregnancy were associated with stunting in children aged 6-23 months (p<0.05).Conclusions: Chronic Energy Malnutrition during pregnancy is associated with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months. Prevention efforts from adolescent girls are an important key in improving the nutritional status of women of childbearing age and pregnant women in order to prevent stunting

Abstract

  The persistent problem of undernutrition and the emerging prevalence of overnutrition hints at a new term for the double burden of malnutrition among children globally. This study aims to provide a review of the published studies concerning the prevalence of double burden of malnutrition at the household level and the associated factors. Articles were identified from the electronic databases of PubMed, Nature, SAGE, Scopus, and SpringerLink, using the same search terms for all. A total of fourteen articles were eligible and sixteen sets of prevalence values were obtained. Most articles were published in 2018 – 2020. Fourteen articles used secondary data from the Demographic and Health Survey. Most articles studied under five children and mothers 15-49 years. Mother’s nutritional status was identified using BMI, while for children height for age z-score was commonly used. The reported prevalence of double burden at the household level varied from 1.0 to 28.0% by country. Frequently assessed factors observed that older children and older mothers were likely to develop a household double burden of malnutrition. A negative association was found when households possessed access to mass media. Overall, the media should have been channels for health promotion. Intervention concerning the nutrition of mothers and children at the household level is required to be intensified through nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan gizi seimbang remaja sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi Twitter thread. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimental dengan tipe one group pretest-posttest design. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 52 orang yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi, yaitu siswa-siswi aktif kelas 7 dan 8 di SMP Harjamukti, bisa membaca dan menulis, memiliki akses pada laptop, komputer atau ponsel (smartphone), memiliki akun Twitter dan bersedia menjadi responden penelitian. Responden diberikan edukasi tentang gizi seimbang melalui thread Twitter sebanyak tiga kali dalam satu minggu dan diulang selama enam minggu. Data mengenai karakteristik individu dan pengetahuan gizi didapatkan melalui kuesioner. Pengumpulan kuesioner dilakukan pada sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi gizi seimbang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengetahuan gizi seimbang remaja sebelum dan sesudah intervensi (p = 0,000). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara perubahan pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan perubahan status gizi responden (p = 0,547; r = 0,085). Pada penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk mengambil variabel lanjutan dari pengetahuan berupa sikap dan perilaku tentang gizi seimbang dengan jangka waktu penelitian yang lebih lama.

Abstract

Background: The nutritional status of overweight and obesity worldwide has almost tripled since 1975. In 2016, more than 340 million children and adolescents aged 5-19 years experienced overnutrition and obesity. Most nutritional problems can be avoided if an individual has good knowledge about nutrition and regulates eating. Nutrition education is provided to increase the level of knowledge and use interesting media so that the educational material to be delivered can be received more easily. Objective: Knowing the difference in the level of knowledge about overweight in adolescents 16-18 years before and after being given education with videos and podcasts. Method : Quasy experimental study with pre-post-test group design involving 80 students in class X and XI which choosed by cluster random sampling. Knowledge data collected with online method. Result :there are a difference knowledge with the use of nutrition education media through podcasts (p=0.000) and animated videos (p=0.000). Conclusion: There are differences in the level of knowledge about overweight in adolescents 16-18 years before and after being given education with videos and podcasts

Abstract

Anak usia di bawah lima tahun merupakan kelompok usia yang cukup rentan terhadap permasalahan gizi. Anak yang menderita permasalahan gizi akan mempengaruhi kualitas kehidupannya pada masa yang akan datang. Ibu merupakan kelompok yang perlu mendapat perhatian dalam hal pencegahan stunting. Pengetahuan ibu menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang sangat mempengaruhi status gizi balita di mana pendidikan dan pengetahuan ibu sangat berpengaruh terhadap cara ibu dalam mengolah, memilih, dan menyajikan makanan yang menentukan terpenuhi atau tidaknya gizi seimbang pada anak. Salah satu upaya pencegahan terjadinya masalah gizi adalah pemberian edukasi mengenai gizi. Berbagai cara dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu salah satunya adalah pemberian edukasi melalui buku saku. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi gizi melalui media buku saku terhadap pengetahuan ibu di Kelurahan Krukut, Kota Depok. Analisis yang digunakan untuk mengolah data adalah uji wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian edukasi gizi melalui media buku saku terhadap pengetahuan ibu di Kelurahan Krukut, Kota Depok yang didukung dengan p-value < 0,05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi gizi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) dengan rentang usia 14-49 tahun di RW 06, Kelurahan Serua, Kecamatan Bojongsari, Depok, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa edukasi gizi secara door to door dengan media edukasi leaflet. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat pengaruh edukasi gizi secara door to door dengan menunjukkan hasil Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan nilai sig < ???? (0,05) yang berarti Ho ditolak atau H1 diterima. Edukasi gizi yang diberikan berupa pengetahuan mengenai Pedoman Gizi Seimbang (PGS), Perilaku Hidup Sehat Bersih (PHBS), dan anemia secara door to door dengan media leaflet memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan gizi Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di RW 06, Kelurahan Serua, Kecamatan Bojongsari, Depok, Jawa Barat setelah diberikan edukasi.

Abstract

Athletes with good physical fitness will have optimal performance quality. Fitness is a crucial factor in building an athlete's performance in achieving the expected competencies. One strategy for maintaining physical fitness levels is to consume foods with balanced nutrients, especially energy and macronutrients (Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat). In this study, the relationship between energy and macronutrient intake and the fitness of Pencak Silat, Sepak Takraw and Judo athletes at DKI Jakarta Province will be examined. This research uses a quantitative observational analytical method with a cross-sectional design and is analyzed descriptively analytically to determine the desired relationship. The data normality test used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, resulting in normally distributed data (p>0.05). The total population in this study was 75 people, 45 men and 30 women. The results of the analysis of Recall and VO2Max data which describe each variable show that there is a significant relationship between energy and macronutrient intake and athlete fitness. Marked with a P value = 0.00 (p value < 0.05). By understanding this relationship, it is hoped that it can help design a diet program that is more effective and suits the athlete's needs based on the type of sport they are involved in, so that the athlete can achieve optimal physical fitness.

Abstract

Several factors worsening the prognosis of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 have been identified, such as obesity or diabetes. However, although nutritional status may change during the Covid-19 social distancing period, little is known about the effect of nutritional status among patients hospitalized with Covid-19. This study aims to assess whether nutritional status is related to length of stay in patients with Covid-19 in the hospital. The study was conducted on 188 patients who were hospitalized for Covid-19, using a cross-sectional design. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study was the patient's nutritional status as measured using the Body Mass Index (BMI) and length of stay as the dependent variable. All data comes from the patient's electronic medical record. The statistical test results showed a p value = 0.084, so it can be said that there is no relationship between nutritional status and the length of stay of Covid-19 patients in the hospital. Nonetheless, it is important to pay attention to providing good nutritional care according to patient needs, especially in the case of older adults with chronic or acute comorbidities.Keywords: nutritional status; Covid-19; inpatient ABSTRAK Beberapa faktor yang memperburuk prognosis virus corona baru SARS-CoV-2 telah diidentifikasi, seperti obesitas atau diabetes. Namun, meskipun status gizi dapat berubah pada masa pembatasan social Covid-19, sedikit yang diketahui tentang pengaruh status gizi di antara pasien yang dirawat di rumah sakit karena Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai apakah status gizi berhubungan dengan lama rawat inap pada pasien dengan Covid-19 di rumah sakit. Penelitian dilakukan pada 188 pasien yang dirawat di rumah sakit karena Covid-19, menggunakan rancangan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah status gizi pasien yang diukur menggunakan Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) dan lama rawat inap sebagai variabel terikat. Seluruh data berasal dari rekam medis elektronik pasien. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan nilai p = 0,084, maka dapat dikatakan  bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan lama rawat inap pasien Covid-19 di rumah sakit. Meskipun demikian, pemberian asuhan gizi yang baik sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasien perlu diperhatikan, terutama dalam kasus orang dewasa yang lebih tua dengan komorbiditas kronis atau akut.Kata kunci: status gizi; Covid-19; rawat inap
