Abstract

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills before implementing the discovery learning model. This type of research is a pre-experiment using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The design used consists of three stages, namely pretest, posttest, and treatment for six meetings. In this study, there are two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The sample in this study was 38 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 52 SATAP HAL-SEL in the 2025/2026 academic year who were determined by direct appointment techniques. The instrument used was a critical thinking skills test that met valid criteria of 25 questions, where the results of this study showed that in the pretest, students' critical thinking skills averaged 10.10 and the posttest average score was 16.25. With a normalized N-gain test of 0.45 or in the moderate category. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 52 SATAP HAL-SEL, through the application of the discovery learning model, have increased.

Abstract

The problem in this research is to find out what the marketing strategy is for selling cassava chips to the Rejeki Mangoko UKM in Sulamadaha sub-district. Marketing of products in the cassava chips business in UKM Rejeki Mangoko, Sulamadaha sub-district is still very minimal so that the products being marketed are not well known to the wider community. The aim of the research is to find out the marketing strategy for selling cassava chips at Rejeki Mangoko UKM in Sulamadaha Village. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The respondents for this research are owners, employees and customers. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used interactive analysis. The results of the research show that the chips marketing strategy with cassava chips managers carries out capital management, carries out management of raw materials for cassava chips, carries out production management of cassava chips, and carries out marketing management, the business management is carried out with significant and complementary management. The role of this marketing strategy can have an impact on the management of cassava chips on home industries in Sulamadaha Village, it has a positive impact, namely the management of cassava chips can create jobs, the business of managing cassava chips can reduce the number of unemployed and the management of cassava chips can increase people's income in Sulamadaha district

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the income from cassava chips businesses to improve the family economy in Sulamadaha sub-district and to determine the contribution of cassava chips entrepreneurs' income to family economic income in Sulamadaha sub-district. This research uses case study research with a sample of 10 respondents. Primary data was obtained by interviewing respondents directly. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis to analyze the income and contribution of cassava chips entrepreneurs in increasing family income. The research results show that: (1) based on research results, housewives (wives) as cassava chips entrepreneurs contribute an average of Rp. 1,569,189 per month to total family income. (2) Based on the research results, the average monthly income of husbands is IDR. 2,503,333 per month. So the contribution of housewives is 45%, so the contribution of cassava chips to improving the family economy is very large. Logically speaking, the percentage income of 45% of the total family income is a large amount of income.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to find out how the application of the Project Based Learning model can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of class West Halmahera. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The research subjects were 26 class X students of Bina Insani Vocational School. The research results show that (1) The application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model has proven effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of class X students at Bina Insani Vocational School. In cycle I, 65.39% of students achieved completion with an average score of 72.12, although there were still 34.61% of students who had not completed it. However, in cycle II, there was a significant increase, with 96.15% of students achieving completeness and an average score of 78.08, showing the effectiveness of PjBL in increasing economic understanding. The PjBL model has also succeeded in increasing student creativity, especially in the Pancasila Student Profile aspect. In cycle I, student creativity was seen in the analysis of family economic cases, although several aspects such as elaboration and creative problem solving were still less than optimal. Cycle II showed a significant increase in creativity, with students generating original ideas, conveying alternative solutions fluently, and being able to see problems from various perspectives. Collaboration and creative exploration also increase, demonstrated through high-quality final reports.
