Abstract

Objective: to determine the effect of blanket warmer on the incidence of shivering after sectio caesarea surgery in spinal anesthesia patients in the recovery room. Metods:This research used quasi experimental with Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at RSUD Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek with the incidence of shivering with a total sample of 36 people, using accidental sampling. Results: The study using the Wilcoxon test in the intervention group obtained the results (p = 0.000), meaning that there was an effect of giving blanket warmers on the incidence of shivering after cesarean section surgery with spinal anesthesia. While the results of the Wilcoxon test on the control group obtained the results (p = 0.001), meaning that there is a significant difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test in the control group. Based on the results of the Mann Whitney test, the value (p = 0.000) was obtained, meaning that there was an effect of giving blanket warmers on the incidence of shivering after cesarean section surgery with spinal anesthesia. Conclusion: The provision of blanket warmer was found to have an effect in reducing the degree of shivering.

Abstract

Objective: To identify levels of self-esteem and anxiety, as well as analyze the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety levels in pre-caesarean section patients at RSI Asyiyah Malang. Methods: This type of research is correlational with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was preoperative caesarean section patients; the sample size was 44 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The results of the analysis showed that the majority of patients had low self-esteem and moderate levels of anxiety. There is a significant relationship with value = 0.000 (0.005) and r = -0.557, which means there is a fairly strong relationship in the negative direction, meaning the higher the level of self-esteem, the lower the patient's anxiety level. Conclusion: Patients with low levels of self-esteem are less able to control their emotions when under pressure and overcome their anxiety. Therefore, it is very important to know the level of self-esteem in patients who experience anxiety to determine more appropriate treatment.

Abstract

Objective: The general objective of this study was to determine the factors that influence anxiety in preoperative lower extremity fracture patients at the IBS RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar. The specific objectives of this study were 1. to analyze gender factors on anxiety in preoperative lower extremity fracture patients at the IBS RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar, 2. to analyze occupational factors on anxiety in preoperative lower extremity fracture patients at the IBS RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar, 3. to analyze factors of surgical experience on anxiety in preoperative lower extremity fracture patients at the IBS RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar. Methods: : Cross-sectional research design, research population 30 lower extremity fracture patients, independent variables (gender, occupation, experience of undergoing surgery) and dependent variables (anxiety), Observation research instruments and APAIS questionnaires, research location premedication room central surgical installation RSUD Mardi Waluyo Blitar, research time 26 March - 19 April 2025, research data processing editing coding, data entry and cleaning, data analysis statistical test SPSS using chi square test and descriptive analysis. Results: 1. The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) is 0.003, which is smaller than α = 0.05 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a significant relationship between variable X (gender factor) and variable Y (anxiety level). 2. The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) is 0.006 which is smaller than α = 0.05 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a significant relationship between variable X (job factor) and variable Y (anxiety level). 3. The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) is 0.008 which is smaller than α = 0.05 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a significant relationship between variable X (operation experience factor) and variable Y (anxiety level). Conclusion: 1. The gender factor is related to anxiety with a p value of 0.004, < of (p < 0.05). 2. There is a relationship between work factors and anxiety with a p value of 0.006, < of (p < 0.05). 3. The experience of undergoing surgery has a relationship with anxiety with a p value of 0.008, < of (p < 0.05).
