Abstract

Concrete is a mixture consisting of fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water, cement, and with or without other additives. This research uses a mixture of concrete with hair waste and granite, where the amount of hair waste produced every day from thousands of barbershops in Indonesia is increasing rapidly. The innovation of granite shard waste in the construction of this building is to utilize the waste of granite shards leftover from construction. This study aimed to determine the effect of using granite and hair as a filler on the compressive strength of concrete and the flexural strength of concrete. The time in this study for 35 days was tested for concrete aged 7,14,21,28 and 28 days. With a variation of 0%, 2.5%; 7.5%; 12.5%; 17.5% and 22.5%. The results of this study found that comparing the compressive strength of normal concrete with mixed concrete in the 35-day old concrete test for normal concrete was 321.1 kg/cm2 while for mixed concrete was 305.7 kg/cm2. For comparing the flexural strength of normal concrete with mixed concrete in the 35-day old concrete test, for normal concrete, it is 32 kg/cm2, while for mixed concrete, it is 31.3 kg/cm2. Abstract

Kegiatan industri manufaktur, industri pariwisata dan pemukiman secara otomatis akibat bertambahnya jumlah penduduk. Semua kegiatan membutuhkan lahan yang berpengaruh pada penyediaan sumber daya air di kota Batam. Pada tahun 2025 kebutuhan air baku kota Batam sebesar 5.278 liter/detik sementara kapasitas sumber daya air eksisting adalah sebesar 5.250 liter/detik atau kekurangan 25 liter/detik dan proyeksi proyeksi kebutuhan air bersih pada tahun 2045 sebesar 6.013 liter/detik atau kekurangan air sebesar 763 liter/detik. Sementara proyeksi kebutuhan air baku untuk kawasan industri, perhotelan dan rumah susun pada tahun 2045 sebesar 1.538 liter/detik. Dalam rangka memenuhi kekurangan tahun 2045, maka diadakan penelitian pemanfaatan air limbah domestik dan industri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder dari berbagai instansi yang terkait dan wawancara. Data tersebut diolah secara matematik. Selain itu direview dan evaluasi dari Pengolahan air limbah domestik, industri ada di Batam. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa potensi pemanfaatan daur ulang air limbah domestik kawasan industri, perhotelan dan kawasan permukiman (rumah susun) akan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 47,98 % dari kebutuhan air baku industri atau dapat menambah kebutuhan air baku kota Batam sebanyak 12,92 % pada tahun 2035 dan 12,27 % pada tahun 2045.

Abstract

PT. Darma Sarana Nusa Pratama established the drainage system for the Cendana Marq housing complex in Tangerang. This drainage system was built on previously agricultural land, which has undergone a change in function to residential use. Consequently, the infiltration capacity of rainwater on this land has altered, affecting the volume of runoff directed towards the drainage system. The objectives of this research include planning the drainagesystem for the Cendana Marq housing complex in Curug, Tangerang. This involves designing the drainage network, determining the amount of rainwater runoff, calculating the necessary dimensions for the drainage channels to accommodate the runoff, assessing the required capacity for a retention pond intended for temporary water storage, and identifying the necessary drainage facilities for the Cendana Marq housing system. The study employs a qualitative research methodology. The findings indicate that the dimensions of the tertiary channels range from 0.40 to 0.55 meters, secondary channels from 0.80 to 1.40 meters, and primary channels at 1.50 meters, all leading to a retention pond. The runoff volume generated by the housing development is calculated to be 1.45 m³/s, which will be temporarily held in the retention pond within the residential area. To enable gravity flow, the required embankment height for the Cendana Marq housing complex is 2.10 meters (+7.302) above the village road (+5.402). Prior to the establishment of the housing complex, the river did not overflow during rainfall, with water levels matching the height of the embankment. The inflow to the Afvoer Cantel from the watershed area before the housing development was 0.28 m³/s. The planned drainage system for the Cendana Marq housing complex will manage rainwater runoff through the retention pond and designated channels, allowing for gravity drainage. Thus, the CendanaMarq housing complex in Tangerang is not expected to adversely impact the capacity of the system.
