Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between age experiencing of menarche (first menstruation) with the student’s confidence in a high school in Padang. The population of the study was all students at Senior High School 6 Padang. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The number of samples used was 186 people using a questionnaire that had been tested for its validity and reliability before. The results of this study indicate that the age of menarche has a significant relationship to the confidence of these students. Besides that, the correlation coefficient is negative hence thefaster a person experiences menarche, the lower confidence she will has. The relationship between age of experiencing menarche with self-confidence is significant because the physical and psychological changes that occur after a person experiences menarche can affect one's confidence. Even so, it is not only the age of menarche that is associated with self-confidence, but there are other factors such as the learning process of the environment, family, friends or the community. It is because self-confidence is not a hereditary factor, so that everyone can increase their self-confidence in order to optimize their potential for success

Abstract

Living in an orphanage is a condition that is not expected by all teenagers, but there are some teenagers who have to live in an orphanage due to various factors. Life in an orphanage is also very complex with various problems that occur, especially for teenagers who enter the musical period and are still unstable. Psychological well-being with the gratitude (gratitude) they have is an important thing to see in adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude (gratitude) and psychological well-being in adolescents at the Rahmatan Lil' Alamin Orphanage, Padang City. The independent variable in this study is gratitude (gratitude) while the other variable is psychological well-being. The measuring instrument used in this study is a scale of gratitude (gratitude) and psychological well-being. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study was 60 teenagers at the Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Orphanage, Padang City. Test the validity and reliability in this study using the Alpha Cronbach technique. The results of the validity coefficient on the gratitude scale move from rix = 0.479 to rix = 0.913 with a reliability coefficient of = 0.973 while the results of the validity coefficient on the psychological well-being scale move from rix = 0.349 to rix = 0.767 with a reliability coefficient = 0.926 . Based on data analysis, obtained a value of 0.629 with a significance level of 0.000 which means the hypothesis is accepted. Abstract

Kesejahteraan merupakan hal yang diharapkan oleh setiap keluarga dalam masyarakat, karena tingkat kesejahteraan keluarga mencerminkan kualitas kehidupan keluarga. Implikasi ini terkadang tidak sejalan dengan harapan yang seharusnya terjadi, karena masih terdapat keluarga yang berstatus sebagai Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah (MBR). Salah satu solusi yang dihadirkan adalah dengan penyediaan rumah susun dan sewa (Rusunawa). Berdasarkan bukti-bukti yang didapatkan, para istri yang tinggal di Rusunawa mengalami gejala yang berhubungan dengan stres, selain itu faktor lingkungan dan kondisi rusunawa juga menimbulkan gejala kesesakan yang dirasakan oleh para istri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kesesakan dengan stres pada istri di rumah susun dan sewa kota Padang. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kesesakan dan variabel terikat adalah stres. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian  ini yaitu skala kesesakan dan skala stres. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini ialah 72 orang istri yang tinggal di Rusunawa Kota Padang. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Alpha Cronbach. Hasil koefisian validitas pada skala kesesakan bergerak dari rix = 0.307 sampai dengan rix = 0.781 dengan koefisian reliabilitas α = 0.937 sedangkan pada skala stres bergerak dari rix= 0.304 sampai dengan rix= 0.707 dengan koefisian reliabilitas α = 0.940. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai korelasi sebesar 0.438 dengan taraf signifikan 0.000 yang berarti diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kesesakan dengan stres pada istri di Rumah Susun dan Sewa (Rusunawa) Kota Padang. Adapun sumbangan efektif dari variabel kesesakan terhadap variabel stres sebesar 19%.

Abstract

The existence of a representative school will indirectly provide learning comfort for students, neat environmental management, clean classrooms, and a conducive atmosphere are one of the supporting factors for the success of the teaching and learning process. When students feel comfortable, motivation to learn will arise from within them. This study aims to determine the relationship between school well-being and learning motivation in class XI students of the Office Administration Program at SMKN 3 Padang. The research variables are School Well-Being (X), Learning Motivation (Y). The data collection method is distributing questionnaires with a sample of 95 students. The subject of this study used the Saturated Sample technique. Measuring tools used in this study are the School Well-Being scale, and the Learning Motivation Scale.The data analysis method used to test the hypothesis in this study is to use the Pearson product moment statistical test with the help of IBM SPSS 21.0, which shows that r = 0.575 with a significance level of p = 0.000 <0.01, meaning that the hypothesis is acceptable and there is there is a very significant relationship between school well-being and learning motivation in class XI students majoring in Office Administration at SMKN 3 Padang, meaning that if school well-being is high, the learning motivation for class XI students majoring in Office Administration at SMKN 3 Padang is high. Conversely, if school well-being is low, the learning motivation of class XI students majoring in Office Administration at SMKN 3 Padang is also low, meaning that the research hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution of the School Well-Being variable with learning motivation is 33%.
