Abstract

Abstrak Dalam dunia industry, khususnya perusahaan manufaktur dalam banyak kasus membutuhkan penanganan kerja yang dilakukan menggunakan alat alat berat untuk mendukung produktivitas kinerja perusahaan. Hal ini membutuhkan perencanaan program yang bagus dalam menangani perawatan peralatan mesin mesin tersebut sehingga dapat berkjalan sesuai fungsinya. TPM atau dikenal dengan total productive maintenance atau perawatan produktif total adalah suatu system perawatan dan pemberdayaan peningkatan integritas produksi , keamanan dan system mutu melalui peralatan mesin, peralatan perlengkapan, process dan pekerja yang menambah nilai dari suatu bisnis di perusahaan. Total productive maintenance (TPM) merupakan suatu bagian dari manajemen system perusahaan dalam menjaga bagian perawatan dalam mencapai peningkatan secara berkesinambungan untuk memperoleh performansi yang baik. Dengan mengimplementasikan konsep dari TPM dengan perencanaan pada perawatan yang harus dapat dicapai dan kemampuan kerja dari mesin secara kontinu, mengoptimasi biaya perawatan , mengurangi inventori, meningkatkan kehandalan, dan kemampuan kerja dari mesin. Abstract

Industry must have good quality for their services or products. One of the things that their have done is how to get the customer’s belief in their brand. Quality in every part has become the main case. Most of the companies in industry use metals as material to support their services. When the goods have been processed, it must continue with the testing. This is to prove that the goods have gone through the formation process fill in standard quality which required by the customer. There are two types of testing known as destructive testing and non-destructive testing. There are some of ways of non destructive testing methods on metals inspection has been applied in testing the quality of goods. Such as visual test, magnetic particle test, liquid penetrant, eddy current test, ultrasonic test, radiographic test in metals testing. Nondestructive testing (NDT) is the process of inspecting, testing, or evaluating materials, components or assemblies for discontinuities, or differences in characteristics without destroying the serviceability of the part or system. Radiographic Testing (RT) is a nondestructive examination technique that involves the use of either x-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. In the petrochemical industry, Radiographic Testing is often used to inspect machinery, such as pressure vessels and valves, to detect for flaws. RT is also used to inspect weld repairs. Compared to other NDT techniques, radiography has several advantages. It is highly reproducible, can be used on a variety of materials, and the data gathered can be stored for later analysis. Abstract

Keberhasilan dan kelangsungan kegiatan suatu industri, sangat dipengaruhi oleh tenaga kerja yang dimilliki. Tenaga kerja merupakan salah satu faktor yang memegang peranan penting dalam setiap perusahaan. Kesehatan Kerja menurut joint ILO/WHO Committee 1995 ialah penyelenggaraan dan pemeliharaan derajat setinggi-tingginya dari kesehatan fisik, mental dan sosial tenaga kerja di semua pekerjaan, pencegahan gangguan kesehatan tenaga kerja yang disebabkan kondisi kerjanya, perlindungan tenaga kerja terhadap resiko faktor-faktor yang mengganggu kesehatan, penempatan dan pemeliharaan tenaga kerja di lingkungan kerja sesuai kemampuan fisik dan psikologisnya, dan sebagai kesimpulan ialah penyesuaian pekerjaan kepada manusia dan manusia kepada pekerjaannya. Berdasarkan BAB I Pasal 1 no. 7 PP 50 2012 : AUDIT SMK3 adalah Pemeriksaan secara sistematis dan independen terhadap pemenuhan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan untuk mengukur suatu hasil kegiatan yang telah direncanakan dan dilaksanakan dalam penerapan SMK3 di perusahaan. Data mengenai perusahaan sesuai hasil penilai dan verifikasi yang dilakukan pengawasan ketenagakerjaan dan transmigrasi Provinsi Kalimanatan Timur, bahwa Perusahaan PD Kota Balikpapan telah memenuhi syarat dan layak untuk mendapatkan penghargaan atas prestasinya dalam melaksanakan program Norma Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di lingkungan kerjanya. Yaitu penghargaan Nihil Kecelakaan (Zero Accident) dan P2HIV/AIDS di tempat kerja.. menurut data yang diperoleh adanya penganugerahan/pemberian penghargaan Nihil Kecelakaan (Zero Accident) dan P2HIV/AIDS. Terimplementasi nya system manajemen kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di perusahaan terbukti dengan perusahaan ini mendapat sertifikasi OHSAS 18001:2007 ,adalah suatu standar internasional untuk sistem manajemen kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) yang bertujuan untuk mengelola aspek dan keselamatan kerja pada setiap proses pekerjaan ditempat kerja. OHSAS 18001:2007 adalah suatu standar internasional untuk Sistem Manajemen Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja yang bertujuan untuk mengelola aspek Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) pada setiap proses pekerjaan di tempat kerja. Abstract

This Research aims to analys the result of the tensile strength of workpieces and learn the different of tensile strength to both the welding methods commonly used in the mining industry, SMAW (Shield MetalArc Welding) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding methods. The result of analysis work piece strength testis the value of tensile strength obtained by conducting tensile strength testing. In the process of weldingworkpiece used materials ASTM A 36. Abstract

Reservoir is a large building made by humans by damming a river (Wetzel, 2001). Reservoirsare also an intermediate system between rivers (lotic waters) and lakes (lentic waters). Themanufacture of reservoirs generally has objectives and functions, one of which is for raw water needsfrom drinking water treatment. MG Reservoir is the main source of raw water for PDAM BalikpapanCity. MG Reservoir is a very important aquatic resource in terms of its ecological and economicfunctions. Therefore it must be maintained both in terms of quantity and quality. With the existence ofvarious human activities around MG Reservoir, it will affect the condition of the reservoir. Abstract

There are many ways for the company to reach a good standard for their goods and services.Standard is essential to achieve a level of customer trust. The company must be maintaining the quality oftheir services and products, including in this case the quality of goods beside the services. To ensure itsachievement, a directed management system and processes are needed to achieve the level of customertrust. Many companies use quality tools to help monitor and manage their quality system. There areseveral types of tools that can be used. But the more, there are seven management tools for qualitycontrol are the most common. Seven tools can be used by any professional to ease the quality improvement process like flowcharts, check sheets, Pareto diagrams, cause and effect diagrams,histograms, scatter diagrams, and control charts. Abstract

Thermoelectric Generator produces electrical power through the direct conversion of heat energy into electrical energy. It operates on the same principle as the thermocouples that are used for measuring temperatures and in safety shutoff controls for gas water heaters, home furnaces, etc. However, the TEG utilizes semiconducting thermoelectric materials that are much more efficient and thus permit practical thermoelectric power sources. A thermocouple consists of two dissimilar materials (usually in wire form) which are joined together at one end. If this junction is heated to a higher temperature than the other end of the wire, a voltage will exist across the cooler end. Further, electrical power will be delivered to a load placed in the circuit. This process will continue provided that the temperature difference is maintained. A THEG is a system which provides the means to maintain these required conditions. Key Words : thermoelectric, generator, power plant, installation

Abstract

A pump is a machine used to move uncompressed fluid from one place to another with a certain distance, from a low to a high place or move fluid from a low pressure place to a high pressure place. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance value of the centrifugal pump and the decline from the previous test by the manufacturer, as well as what factors influence it. Retrieval of data in the PT.PHM senipah field is a fire extinguisher pump P-8300 C by reading directly the existing parameters in the form of exhaust pressure (P) and the amount of flow in the exhaust channel (Q). The data is analyzed to get the value of head speed, head loss and total head so that the performance will be obtained. Key words: Centrifugal pump, working fluid, performance.

Abstract

The combustion air system in general is a system that functions as a medium for transporting coal to the boiler as well as adding oxygen for the combustion process and making turbolence. Tomaintain efficient combustion in the boiler, the air after combustion must be adjusted to the amount ofcoal that will be burned into the furnace. While the exhaust gas system is the output of the combustionprocess which is used to transfer hot gas from the rest of the combustion process to the water andsteam pipes and air heating elements, after which the exhaust gas is channeled into nature. Before theflue gas from combustion is disposed of directly into nature, it must first meet the quality standards ofthe Ministry of Environment and Forestry for gas emissions. Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah membangun sarana serta prasarana bagi warga atau masyarakat di wilayah kota Balikpapan maupun di luar daerah. Kegiatan membangun sarana bagi kemudahan akses warga dilakukan oleh Fakultas Teknik - Program Studi Teknik Mesin dimana membangun akses jalan semenisasi untuk memudahkan warga agar dapat masuk ke lingkungan area perumahannya. Hal ini juga tak luput oleh beberapa kasus dimana pengembang perumahan seringnya tidak membangun akses jalan dimana seharusnya pembangunan jalan harus dilaksanakan pembangunannya bagi akses warga perumahannya.
