Abstract

This study discusses the summon variations to kakanak lalakian ‘boys’ in the Banjarese. The discussion includes how to use the summons Nang ‘Nang’, Tuh ‘See’, Atung ‘Atung’, Ucu ‘Ucu’ Busu ‘Youngest’, Pakacil ‘small Uncle’, and Tuhalus ‘whole subtle’. The research objectives is to describe the use of the summons mentioned before. It is a descriptive qualitative research. The writer conducted three steps in doing the research, namely collecting data, analysis, and presentation of data analysis. Data were collected from January to March 2016. The data was taken from a speech community in Sungai Raya,  South Kalimantan. Based on the research findings, the use of certain summon is influenced by spesific reason and relation. The use of the summon Nak ‘Son’ is caused by kinship and familiarity, Nang ‘Nang’ is caused by blood relation and intimacy, Tuh ‘tuh’ is caused by kinship and familiarity.The use of the summon Atung ‘Atung’ is caused by kinship and a sense of love, Ucu ‘Ucu’ is caused by kinship, compassion, and  age difference. The use Busu ‘youngest’ is caused by kinship, Pakacil ‘little uncle’ is caused by kinship, and Tuhalus ‘Whole subtle’ is caused by family relation

Abstract

Comfort communication is undeniable important for the speaker and speaker’s partner in their interaction, but in reality it is not always happened. Impolite broker’s utterance might be the cause of conflict in public transportation. This utterance is interesting to be studied to find out the type of utterance and implicatures of the conflict based on the situation. The problems in this study are what kind of implicatures and the type of broker utterances that cause conflict in the transaction of public transportation. The aim of this study is to describe kind of implicatures and the type of broker utterances that cause conflict in the transaction of public transportation. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Recording, note-taking, and documentation used in collecting the data. The data then analyzed by using pragmatic theory. The data are presented in common words. The data are taken from January 2019 until February 2019 along Jalan Ahmad Yani, Landasan Ulin, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. The data resource is the utterances of broker or speaker partner and other speaker in Banjar language that happens in that place. The results are the cause of conflict is signed by the using of rude linguistic, sarkasms and hyperbolic expressions. Broker implicatures utterances as the cause of conflict are disagreement and jokes. Based on the situation, the conclusion is there are violation of politeness utterance in the form of humiliation by the broker towards the speaker partner and its implicature which is uttered. This thing makes the communication in the transaction of public transportation service is not well going.  AbstrakKomunikasi yang lancar dan nyaman sangat diharapkan penutur dan mitra tutur kala berinteraksi. Kenyataannya tidak selalu demikian. Salah satu contohnya terjadi pada tuturan makelar yang kadang  kurang santun sehingga mengakibatkan konflik dengan calon pengguna  jasa angkutan umum. Tuturan makelar ini menarik untuk diteliti dalam rangka mengetahui wujud tuturan dan implikatur penyebab konflik berdasarkan situasi tutur. Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana wujud tuturan makelar penyebab konflik dan apa saja implikatur tuturan makelar penyebab konflik pada transaksi jasa angkutan umum. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan wujud tuturan dan implikatur tuturan penyebab konflik pada transaksi jasa angkutan umum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik rekaman, catat, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan teori pragmatik. Peneliti menyajikan data dengan menggunakan kata-kata biasa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dari bulan Januari hingga Februari 2019. Data diambil di sepanjang Jalan Ahmad Yani, Landasan Ulin, Banjarbaru, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah tuturan berbahasa Banjar makelar atau mitra tutur dengan peserta tutur lainnya di tempat tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa wujud tuturan makelar atau mitra tutur penyebab konflik ditandai dengan menggunakan penanda linguistik sarkasme dan ungkapan yang berlebihan atau hiperbolik. Implikatur tuturan makelar penyebab konflik yaitu ketidaksetujuan dan candaan kepada penutur. Berdasarkan situasi tutur telah terjadi pelanggaran kesantunan berbahasa berupa pengancaman muka oleh makelar terhadap lawan bicaranya melalui wujud kebahasaan dan implikatur yang dituturkannya sehingga komunikasi pada transaksi jasa angkutan umum ini tidak berjalan lancar.
