<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effect of problem posing method on students mathematical conceptual understanding. The population of this study was all students of grade VII of Junior High School Tri Success Natar in academic of 2016/2017. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and all students of VII B and VII C class were selected. The quantitative data obtained through conceptual understanding test on line and angle material. The analysis data used Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the problem posing method did not affect the students' mathematical concept understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode problem posing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Tri Sukses Natar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan design pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan seluruh siswa kelas VII B dan VII C terpilih. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep pada materi garis dan sudut. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa metode problem posing tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematiss, pengaruh, problem posing.]]>
