Abstract

The problem in this research is the low of learning result of IPS. his study aims to analyze and know the relationship of skills to variation of IPS learning outcomes, learning motivation to IPS learning outcomes, and skills to hold variations and motivation of learning together towards the learning outcomes of high school students of SD Negeri 2 Metro Selatan. This type of research is quantitative, the approach used is ex-postfacto correlation. The population is 117 and the sample is 58 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation studies. Data analysis used is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the analysis conducted the research results obtained that there is a relationship between the skills to hold variations on learning outcomes IPS, there is a correlation between the learning motivation of IPS learning outcomes, and there is a relationship of skills to hold the variation and motivation of learning together towards the learning outcomes of IPS students. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui hubungan keterampilan mengadakan variasi terhadap hasil belajar IPS, motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS, dan keterampilan mengadakan variasi dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas tinggi SD Negeri 2 Metro Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif, pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu ex-postfacto korelasi. Populasi berjumlah 117 dan sampel  sebanyak 58 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dan multiple correlation. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa ada hubungan antara keterampilan mengadakan variasi terhadap hasil belajar IPS, ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS, dan ada hubungan keterampilan mengadakan variasi dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas tinggi.Kata kunci: IPS, keterampilan, motivasi, variasi pembelajaran
