<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the relationship between linguistic intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence with the ability to solve the mathematics story problem of grade V students of SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. This type of research was a correlational ex-postfacto study. Data collected by the testing techniques. The data collection instrument was a matter of multiple choice test and analysis test that has been checked for its validity and reliability. The results showed that there was a relationship between verbal intelligence and logic-mathematical intelligence with the ability to solve the problem of mathematics story of grade V students of SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur with the acquisition of correlation coefficient value of 0.11 (very low).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara kecerdasan verbal dan kecerdasan logika-matematika dengan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-postfacto korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa soal tes pilihan jamak dan uraian yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan verbal dan kecerdasan logika-matematika dengan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur dengan perolehan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,11 (sangat rendah).Kata kunci: cerita, kecerdasan, logika, matematika, verbal.]]>
