Abstract

AbstractHigher education students world reflects a life emphasizing academic morals.Unfortunately, there have been a lot of student fights triggered by trivial matters.This indicates a crisis in academic morals and stains campuses as centers foracademic life. If students as the intellectual young generation were continuouslyinvolved the culture of fight, the nation would be in danger. Therefore, it isnecessary to find a solution that can make use of students excessive energy todevelop their creative potentials and imaginations through academic activities tomake them mature and skillful. It is the responsibility of a higher educationinstitution to develop students potentials so that they can give positivecontributions to society through their activities. The Yogyakarta State Universityhas made a breakthrough by including Physical Education (PE) in the 2009Curriculum. It is an initial step to equip students with both hard skills and softskills. PE makes use of physical activities in an attempt to attain educational goals.PE provides students with essential values that they can utilize in their campus andsocial life. In this way, students will possess mental toughness necessary to live thecompetitive life at present.Keywords: Physical Education, essential values

Padamasa nwal rcmaja mcrupakan masa puber, periode yang tumpang tindihdan singkat, serta masa ncgatif, scdangkan pada masa akhir remajamcrupsknn masa pcralihnn dan pcrubshan, rnasa penring dan penuhmasniah, rnzlsa yang mcnakutkan dan rnencari identitas diri.Pcnnainnn tcnis mcrupakan pcrmainan yang rnenggunakan rakct,bola, lnpnngan bescrta ycrlcngkapannya dan pcraturan unluk melancarknnjnIannya pcrmainan. Akrivitas permainan tenis dapat sebagaisarana pcln~npiasan sccaru fisik rnatrpun psikologis dan pengisi waktuIuang untiik kcgintan yang positif. Pcraturan dalam permainan tenissangat bcrhcd:~ dcngan pcrnturan cnbang olaIlraga permainan lainnya.Peraturnn permninar~ dalnin tcnis mampu mencakup seluruh manusiayang terlibat di dalsmnyi~A. rtinya, peraturnnnya mampu menjangkaubaik p21ra pcrnnin, pclntih, pcnonton maupun para sponsor Peraturanoabang olnhraga Inin tidak ada yang mampu rnenjangkau seperti dalamtcnis. Abstract

Abstract: Stressand How to Reduce It. Everyone experiences stress or tension but it will vary from person to person. The difference lies in its intensity and the way to respond to its causes. Some ways to reduce stress include, among others, consuming healthy and nutritious foods, maintaining physical fitness, doing breath exercises, doing relaxation exercises, doing fun activities, taking a vacation, establishing harmonious relationship, avoiding bad habits, planning daily routines, keeping plants and animals, sparing time for oneself or families, and avoiding loneliness. A stress-reducing program can be successful if it is seriously carried out with discipline.Keywords: stress, a stress-reducing program
