This quasi-experimental research aims to know the influencce of the implementa-tion cooperative learning mode type Make A match toward student’s mathemati-cal conseptual understanding of VII class in Junior High School State I Terbanggi Besar. The Design research used posttest control group design. The population of this research were all students in 7th grade of Junior High School State I Ter-banggi Besar in the Academic Year 2012 /2013. The sample were VII B as experiment class and VII A as control class that were chossen by Purposive sampling. Base on data analysis, it was conclude that the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in class that was tought by Make A Match method was higher than in conventional class. Thus, there was influence of the implementation cooperative learning model type Make A Match toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Keywords: cooperatif Learning model type Make A Match, mathematical conceptual understanding.
