Purposes of this research to the improve the learning of science at the fourth grade of elementary school with guided discovery method. This research was collaborative classroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of research were students at the fourth grade of elementary school The tech-niques collecting data used observation, interviews, and tests. The validity of using tri-angulation of data sources and techniques. The result of research could concluded that the use of the guided discovery method could improve the learning of science at the fourth grade state elementary school. Keywords: discovery, guided discovery, Science learning Abstrak: Penggunaan Metode Penemuan Terbimbing dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran IPA Kelas IV SD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD dengan metode penemuan terbimbing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas ko-laborasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Validitas data meng-gunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan me-tode penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD. Kata Kunci: penemuan, penemuan terbimbing, pembelajaran IPA
