Abstract

In this globalization era, almost all buildings use concrete with steel reinforcement as the main component of building frames. it is known that the basic material for steel is iron ore, and iron ore is a non-renewable natural resource, while its supply in nature is increasingly limited. Therefore, the price of steel reinforcement also increased. therefore, there needs to be an alternative replacement of steel reinforcement in concrete. Bamboo has a fairly high tensile strength, between 100-400 MPa, almost equal to the tensile strength of steel reinforcement equivalent to ½ to ¼ of the ultimate stress of steel reinforcement shows the same results and tensile strength of bamboo can reach 1280 kg / cm2. Bamboo is used as reinforcement in concrete with knitted shapes and patterns. In this research, the flexural strength test of 15 concrete blocks measuring 15 X 15 X 60 Cm was carried out when the concrete age was 28 days with 3 different variables. The results showed that bamboo reinforced concrete beams had an average maximum flexural strength value of 7.20 MPa. So that the use of petung bamboo reinforcement has a positive effect and deserves to be used as an alternative to steel reinforcement.

Abstract

The use of bamboo as an aggregate substitution is an effort to reduce the specific gravity of concrete, especially in the production of lightweight concrete. The use of bamboo material has the consequence of decreasing the compressive strength value of concrete. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of the use of bamboo substitution on concrete on the compressive strength and specific gravity values. The bamboo material used is sized 15-30 mm in various shapes. The type of bamboo used is petung bamboo (Dendrocalamus Asper). As for the variations in the use of bamboo in the test specimens are 50% and 75% pieces of bamboo of the same shape, 50% and 75% pieces of bamboo form variations, of the weight of coarse aggregate. The research sample is in the form of a cube test object with a size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm. Based on the results of the study there was a decrease in the value of the concrete mortar slump along with the addition of the percentage of bamboo aggregate substitution. Concrete absorbs water which is indicated by an increase in water absorption in concrete test specimens which reaches 4.81%. The decrease also occurs in the specific gravity and compressive strength of the test specimen. The minimum value of average concrete density with bamboo substitution for various variations was obtained at 1902.2 kg/m3 (Bamboo Test Objects with Variation Shape 75%), and a maximum of 1991.1 kg/m3 (Bamboo Test Objects with 50% Equal Shape and Objects Bamboo Test Variation in the Form of 50%). The maximum compressive strength value is 135.1 kg/cm2 (Bamboo Test Objects of the Same Shape of 50%) and a minimum of 104.4 kg/cm2 (Bamboo Test Objects of 75% Variation Shape). Variations in the shape of bamboo pieces do not have much effect on the compressive strength of concrete.

Abstract

Jalan Demang Lebar Daun sebagai salah satu ruas jalan di Kota Palembang dengan volume lalu lintas yang cukup tinggi. Sepanjang ruas ini terdiri dari perkantoran, pusat perbelanjaan dan pusat jajanan, tetapi seiring dengan meningkatnya permintaan jasa transportasi, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadi kemacetan lalu lintas. Analisis kinerja ruas jalan diperlukan agar diketahui tingkat pelayanan ruas jalan Demang Lebar Daun dengan menggunakan Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2014. Analisis menggunakan data primer yang berupa data jenis kendaraan, jumlah kendaraan dan kecepatan kendaraan dengan mengamati di lokasi penelitian dan data sekunder yang digunakan merupakan data kecepatan kendaraan tahun 2015 sampai dengan tahun 2019 yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Pengamatan di lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan dalam satu minggu pada pagi dan sore hari. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis menunjukkan bahwa derajat kejenuhan rata-rata 0,83, kapasitas 3263 jam / jam dengan service level D.
