Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and consumptive behavior of SMK students in Salatiga City. Data collection using the Marsh Self-Concept Scale and the Swastha Consumptive Behavior Questionnaire. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between self-concept and consumptive behavior was r= - 0.359 with a p-value of 0.00 (0.00<0.05). These results indicate a significant negative relationship between self-concept and consumptive behavior of SMK students. Based on these results, the higher the self-concept, the lower the consumptive behavior or vice versa. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku konsumtif siswa SMK di Kota Salatiga. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala Konsep Diri Marsh dan Kuesioner Perilaku Konsumtif Swastha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi antara konsep diri dengan perilaku konsumtif adalah r= - 0,359 dengan p-value 0,00 (0,00<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku konsumtif siswa SMK. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, semakin tinggi konsep diri, semakin rendah perilaku konsumtif atau sebaliknya. Sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima.
