Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant difference between students who were taught to write descriptive paragraphs using "semantic mapping strategies" and taught using conventional strategies for tenth-grade students MA Nurul Huda Sukaraja. This research uses experimental method, experimental queasy design. The population in this research is 103 students, and the sample of 50 students is taken by using purposive sampling, that is 25 students of experiment group and 25 students of a control group. To analyze data using the independent t-test, and the calculation results show that t-obtained is higher than t-table (4.57> 2.0106). Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ho) There is no significant difference between students taught using semantic mapping strategies and students taught using conventional strategies to tenth-grade. (Ha) There is a significant difference between students taught using semantic mapping strategies and students taught using conventional strategies to tenth-grade. That means that Ha is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of professional competence and emotional intelligence of the teacher's performance organizational moderate culture at junior high school in Juwana districts. This study used primary data. The technic analizesis by using quasi type moderation regression with absolute difference technique. The results showed that Professional Competence, Emotional intelligence and Organizational culture has a positive and significant impact in teacher’s work performance. Organizational culture moderate the influence of the professional competence on the teacher's performance with strengthening functions. But, organizational culture does not moderate the influence of emotional intelligence to teacher’s work performances. Keywords: professional competence, emotional intelligence, performance, organizational culture and moderation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendampingan kelompok belajar Bahasa Inggris dimasa pandemi Covid-19 dilakukan sebagai wujud solusi terkait permasalahan yang timbul akibat pandemi pada dunia pendidikan dan membantu pemerintah dalam memutus mata rantai penyebaranya. Pendampingan siswa melalui  bimbingan kelompok belajar dilakukan dirumah warga setempat. Ini adalah daerah dengan zona hijau sebagaimana pemerintah daerah tetapkan maka kegiatan dilakukan secara face to face dengan tetap memperhatikan protokol kesehatan. Kelompok belajar terdiri dari tiga kelompok dengan menyesuaikan kelasnya; yaitu kelompok 1 adalah kelas X dengan 9 siswa, kelompok 2 adalah kelas XI dengan 6 siswa dan kelompok 3 adalah kelas XII dengan 10 siswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dari test yang diberikan dengan adanya beda pada total correct answer dan average score (points) pada masing-masing kelompok belajar sebelum dan sesudah memperoleh pendampingan. Sehingga bimbingan belajar dirumah menjadi satu dari sekian metode alternatif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar serta memberikan pengetahuan belajar yang atraktif serta menumbuhkan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi perkembangan IPTEK dimasa pandemi Covid-19 dengan KBM secara online. Abstract:  Assistance in English learning groups during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out as a form of solution to problems arising from the pandemic in the world of education and to assist the government in breaking the chain of distribution. Student assistance through study group guidance is carried out at local residents' homes. This is an area with a green zone as the local government has determined, so activities are carried out face to face while still paying attention to health protocols. The study group consists of three groups by adjusting the class; namely group 1 is class X with 9 students, group 2 is class XI with 6 students and group 3 is class XII with 10 students. The results of this activity indicate an increase in learning outcomes from the tests given with differences in the total correct answer and average score (points) in each study group before and after receiving assistance. So that home tutoring is one of the alternative methods in increasing motivation and learning achievement as well as providing attractive learning knowledge and growing students' readiness in facing the development of science and technology during the Covid-19 pandemic with online learning services.

Abstract

The learning process would be effectively when supported by various planning, including the use and utilization of instructional media. Instructional media were employed to facilitate the process of understanding information and convey learning messages. Identifying the appropriate instructional media can influence the achievement of the teaching and learning process. SMP Alquraniyah Nurul Huda Martapura was a school unit that is relatively newly established, and thus, the teaching and learning process still requires methods that can support students' progress. The main issues identified in this community service activity were: 1) a lack of utilization of digital technology in delivering learning materials in the classroom, 2) the teaching process mostly relies on conventional methods, and 3) the English language background of the partners was weak. In addressing these challenges, the wrtiter utilized digital comic media, which considered more engaging for students due to its colorful and attractive visuals. The results achieved in this community service activity include a significant improvement in the reading skills of SMP Alquraniyah Nurul Huda students, as evidenced by their reading practice results after several days of learning to read Narrative Text using Digital Comic Media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the used of polite utterances in English and Sundanese which has three components and their causal factors. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a pragmatic approach. The data of this study were obtained by referring to the method of conversational observation techniques, and recording techniques. The data collection technique was a test consisting of three components of polite utterances in English and Sundanese. The data collection technique is a test consisting of polite utterances, namely: speech acts, politeness, pragmatics, Basa Loma, Basa Hormat keur ka Sorangan, Basa Hormat keur ka Batur and the data analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the study, the writer found that the used of polite utterances in English and Sundanese by students of Sundanese ethnicity in the English education study program at Nurul Huda University was the used of polite utterances which still used Basa Loma and at least conversations which included pragmatics with test results used polite utterances. 125 from 9 respondents and for the results of the observation used tests only 2 from 9 respondents

Abstract

Stabilitas ekonomi makro menjadi pilar penting dalam menjaga kesejahteraan suatu negara, ditandai dengan inflasi yang terkendali, tingkat pengangguran rendah, pertumbuhan ekonomi berkelanjutan, dan stabilitas harga. Pemerintah dan otoritas moneter, melalui kebijakan fiskal dan moneter, berperan dalam menjaga stabilitas tersebut. Kebijakan fiskal mengatur pengeluaran dan penerimaan negara, sementara kebijakan moneter oleh Bank Indonesia berfokus pada pengaturan jumlah uang beredar dan suku bunga. Sinergi kedua kebijakan ini sangat penting, karena kebijakan fiskal yang ekspansif tanpa dukungan moneter yang sesuai bisa menyebabkan inflasi sementara kebijakan moneter yang ketat di masa resesi dapat memperburuk kontraksi ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengkaji efektivitas kebijakan fiskal dan moneter dalam menjaga stabilitas ekonomi, mengisi gap penelitian terdahulu, serta memberikan wawasan teoretis serta praktis bagi pembuat kebijakan agar dapat merumuskan strategi ekonomi yang berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koordinasi kebijakan fiskal dan moneter terlihat signifikan terutama saat pandemi COVID-19, dengan stimulus fiskal dan penurunan suku bunga untuk menstabilkan ekonomi. Kebijakan yang telah diterapkan yaitu ketika ekonomi melemah, pemerintah menerapkan kebijakan fiskal ekspansif yang didukung oleh kebijakan moneter akomodatif, seperti suku bunga rendah untuk meningkatkan konsumsi dan investasi. Sebaliknya, saat inflasi tinggi, kebijakan fiskal ketat diimbangi dengan kebijakan moneter kontraktif dapat mengurangi permintaan agregat dan stabilitas harga. Keseimbangan ini sangat penting untuk mencapai tujuan ekonomi makro yang berkelanjutan, seperti pertumbuhan ekonomi yang stabil, inflasi yang terkendali, dan tingkat pengangguran yang rendah.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the transformative journey of Ella Rubinstein, the protagonist of Elif Shafak's The Forty Rules of Love, focusing on her psychological and emotional evolution as she grapples with existential crisis, unfulfilling relationships, and societal expectations. Using a qualitative analysis of Ella’s evolving character, this study examines how her exposure to Rumi's philosophies, through her correspondence with A.Z. Zahara, catalyzes her journey of self-discovery and redefines her understanding of love and identity. By analyzing key themes such as the conflict between societal norms and individual desires, this study uncovers how Ella's awakening reflects broader questions of autonomy, love, and self-actualization. The results suggest that love, as a transformative force, can transcend conventional boundaries and empower individuals to redefine their identities beyond traditional roles, offering a critique of contemporary views on love and relationships. This case study contributes to the broader discourse on personal empowerment, challenging ingrained beliefs and highlighting the power of love in facilitating meaningful life changes.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are non-formal education based on Islam. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' English language skills as one of the plus values of the outputs they have with the marketing management of the boarding school. The research was conducted at the Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School Sidogede in East OKU. Preliminary study through literature study, (2) Preparation of measuring instruments, (3) Testing of measuring instruments, (4) Testing the validity and reliability of measuring instruments, (5) Collecting data in the field (6) processing of data, (7) compiling the results into stages that will be passed in this research. Based on the results of the research found. Basically, the Modern Nurussalam Sidogede Islamic Boarding School does not display a special strategy or concept in its marketing management. In general, the cottage socialization media also uses the website, YouTube channel (nurussalam.com), brochures (print media), if someone asks, in addition to using the internet and social media networks, alumni indirectly become running brochures so that people can get to know them better. related to the quality of the Modern Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School Sidogede. In reality, alumni are known through dedication. The service in question is that the students who have passed are selected according to the predetermined categories so that they are selected for service both inside and outside the cottage.   Pondok pesantren merupakan pendidikan nonformal berbasis agama Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan berbahasa inggris santri sebagai salah satu nilai plus dari out put yang dimiliki dengan manajemen marketing pondok. Penelitian dilakukan di pondok pesantren Nurussalam Sidogede di OKU Timur. Studi pendahuluan melalui studi literatur, (2) Penyusunan alat ukur, (3) Uji coba alat ukur, (4) Uji validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur, (5) Pengambilan data dilapangan (6) pengolahan data, (7) penyusunan hasil menjadi tahapan yang akan dilalui dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang ditemukan, Pada dasarnya Pondok Pesantren Moderrn Nurussalam Sidogede ini tidak menampilkan setrategi atau konsep khusus dalam manajemen marketingnya. Secara umum media sosialisasi pondok juga memanfaaatkan website, you tube chanel (nurussalam.com), brosur (media cetak), jika ada yang meminta, selain pemanfaatan jaringan internet dan medsos, para alumni-alumni secara tidak langsung menjadi brosur berjalan sehingga masyarakat mampu mengenal secara real terkait kualitas yang dimiliki pondok Pesantren Modern Nurussalam Sidogede. Pada realisasinya alumni dikenal melalui pengabdian. Pengabdian yang dimaksud ialah para santri yang sudah lulus terpilih sesuai dengan kategori yang sudah ditetapkan sehingga terpilih untuk pengabdi baik di dalam maupun di luar pondok.

Abstract

One of the main objectives of learning English in the current era of globalization is ability in English conversation. However, English conversation skills are still considered as one of the difficult skills for santri in the Pesatren of Nurul Huda 2 Tanah Merah. Many santri face some difficulties when they want to communicate in English, even though they have learned English for many years. As a solution to motivate students to learn and communicate in English, that is by providing attractive teaching media through effective learning methods. In this service the method used is using VAK (Visualization, Auditory, and Kinestetic) media. One of the results and benefits of this service activity is to provide knowledge about the media and English conversation learning methods to increase students' interest in learning and communicating in English every day.
