Abstract

Tukad Bindu, a river tourism site in Denpasar, Bali, attracts a significant number of domestic tourists. However, it currently lacks a well-defined strategic plan for sustainable development, which is crucial for establishing it as a competitive tourist destination in Denpasar City. This study aims to identify the development potential along Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, Bali, using qualitative methods and SWOT analysis. The research primarily focuses on river revitalization as a catalyst for tourism, enhancing agricultural productivity, tourist attractions, and fostering active community involvement. The findings suggest that the SO (Strengths-Opportunities) strategy can be employed by maintaining river revitalization as a key driver for tourism while also boosting agricultural productivity and tourist attractions. The ST (Strengths-Threats) strategy involves empowering the community through active participation to mitigate potential threats. The WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) strategy is facilitated by providing educational programs through the Denpasar City Environmental Service to the surrounding community. Meanwhile, the WT (Weaknesses-Threats) strategy underscores the importance of collaboration with the government and private sector to improve tourism promotion, develop cultural and agricultural tourism attractions, and ensure the sustainability of future programs. This study recommends the adoption of these strategies as concrete steps to fully leverage the development potential around Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, Bali. The successful implementation of these strategies is anticipated to positively impact tourism, agriculture, and the welfare of the local community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam bentuk-bentuk keterlibatan masyarakat dalam kegiatan wisata Pujon Kidul sebelum dan selama pandemi COVID19. Pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan dengan melakukan pengamatan pasif dan wawancara mendalam kepada Kepala Desa, perwakilan pengelola Desa Wisata Pujon Kidul, Perwakilan Pokdarwis Capung Alas, perwakilan tokoh masyarakat, perwakilan petani, pemilik homestay, perwakilan ibu PKK, dan perwakilan muda-mudi desa. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa keterlibatan masyarakat Desa Pujon Kidul dalam pengembangan desa wisata sebelum pandemi COVID-19 adalah untuk meningkatkan ‘quality of life.’ Keterlibatan masyarakat mendapat dukungan dari pemerintah desa, kabupaten dan pusat, juga stakeholders lainnya seperti Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Malang, Perhutani dan BNI. Masyarakat juga secara mandiri, sadar dan aktif terlibat dalam setiap planning, pengambilan keputusan, controlling dan manfaat ekonomi dari pengembangan desa wisata. Keterlibatan juga dilakukan secara spontan dan bottom up, walaupun telah terjadi transformasi dalam kegiatan wisata selama pandemi, masyarakat tetap bersatu padu secara aktif dan spontan untuk berbenah fasilitas juga SDM sebagai pemulihan wisata. Pemerintah tetap berperan untuk menyadarkan masyarakat bahwa pengembangan wisata tidak saja berorientasi pada uang namun juga untuk membangun desa secara berkelanjutan, selain itu masyarakat juga sadar akan pentingnya penerapan protokol kesehatan sebagai garansi bagi wisatawan untuk tetap nyaman menikmati suasana pedesaan sebagai aktivitas away from routines.

Abstract

This research provides substantial data to reinvigorate Toronipa marine tourism in Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, then this research aims to map the potential attractions around Toronipa beach, and deeply analyze the challenges faced in order to revitalize Toronipa coastal tourism, so that an appropriate development model can be designed for Toronipa coastal tourism destinations. This research implements the initial stage of the Research & Development approach, is a need analysis stage by mapping the potential and challenges with qualitative analysis methods. Data were collected using passive participatory observation techniques, interviews and FGDs. The results showed that the main potential attraction is a beautiful white sandy beach along the 4 km coastline. There are typical Toronipa culinary, tourist facilities in the form of gazebos, toilets, rides and water attractions. The accessibility to destinations is in good condition. The existence of tourism awareness group, tourism human resources and friendly people in welcoming tourists. The challenges faced in developing Toronipa coastal tourism are the unavailability of adequate marine vehicle facilities, the number of artificial attractions is not much, some tourist facilities such as gazebos and toilets are not well maintained, parking lots are still inadequate, and there is no marine tour guide service.

Abstract

Desa Bongancina sangat cocok untuk dikembangkan menjadi desa wisata. Institut Pariwisata Dan Bisnis Internasional, merespon peluang ini dengan mengambil bentuk kegiatan yang dikemas dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan diikuti dengan diskusi serta evaluasi akhir untuk mengukur tingkat capaian yang dihasilkan. Kegiatan ini sendiri merupakan kegiatan pengabdian internal kampus IPB Internasional dengan mengembangkan upaya kemitraan pada masyarakat pelaku usaha di desa Bongancina. Kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk pendampingan di Desa Bongancina, terkait dengan pengembangan Desa Bongancina menjadi Desa Wisata, sudah berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Hal ini tampak dari antusias warga dari berbaga propesi untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini. Dukungan dari pihak kampus Institut Pariwisata Dan Bisnis Internasional berupa pendanaan dan bantuan sarana serta prasarana memiliki peran besar untuk keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian ini. Keterlibatan masyarakat menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan program ini, sehingga program pengabdian kepada masyarakat Institut Pariwisata Dan Bisnis Internasional bisa selesai sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Tukad Bindu is one on the river-based tourist attractions in Denpasar Bali which has been visited by domestic tourists. However, it has not got a well planning strategy to establish this tourism sites sustainably and become a competitive destination in Denpasar City. This research aims to identify the development potential along Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, Bali, using qualitative methods and applying SWOT analysis. The research location focused on the revitalization of the river as a driver of tourism and increased agricultural productivity, tourist attractions, and active community participation. The results showed that the S-O (Strengths-Opportunity) strategy can be applied by preserving river revitalization as a carrying capacity for tourism while increasing agricultural productivity and tourist attractions. The S-T (Strengths-Threats) strategy can be done by empowering the community through active participation to overcome potential threats. The W-O (weaknesses-opportunities) strategy involves providing education and counselling through the Denpasar City Environment Agency to local communities. Meanwhile, the W-T (Weaknesses-Threats) strategy emphasizes cooperation with the government and the private sector to increase tourism promotion, develop cultural agricultural attractions, and maintain the sustainability of the program in the future. This research recommends the implementation of these strategies as concrete steps in maximizing the development potential around Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, and Bali. The implementation of these strategies is expected to have a positive impact on tourism, agriculture, and the welfare of the local community.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic involvement of Osing youth in preserving local culture through their participation in the Gandrung Sewu Festival in Banyuwangi. This annual festival functions not only as an artistic performance but also as a medium for transmitting Osing cultural values and promoting culture-based tourism. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach framed by theories of social participation, cultural transmission, cultural tourism, and cultural festivals as preservation and promotion tools. The research explores various forms of youth involvement, ranging from dancers, organizing committees, and art facilitators to digital promoters. The findings reveal that youth participation is predominantly symbolic, although creative initiatives have emerged, such as the Gandrung Anak Muda community, which utilizes social media and digital content innovation. Key driving factors include cultural identity and community support, while challenges consist of limited training, inadequate cultural facilities, and the influence of popular culture. The study underscores the importance of engaging young generations in all stages of sustainable cultural preservation. The Gandrung Sewu Festival holds significant potential as an educational platform and as a driver of culture-based creative economy. Recommendations are directed toward strengthening digital strategies, fostering early cultural education, and implementing participatory cross-generational policies

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan memegang peranan penting bagi keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Agar dapat melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya dengan baik, faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan yaitu beban dan lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di Hotel Plataran Ubud. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden yang merupakan karyawan Hotel Plataran Ubud yang berjumlah 38 karyawan. Responden tersebut dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampling jenuh atau menggunakan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Data hasil pengumpulan kuesioner kemudian dilakukan analisis kuantitatif, meliputi: uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linear berganda, serta pengujian hipotesis melalui uji F dan uji t. Beban dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara simultan terhadap kinerja dengan nilai F hitung 38,438 dan sig 0,000 < 0,01. Beban kerja berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t hitung 2,802 dan sig 0,008 < 0,01. Lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai thitung 3,133 dan sig 0,000 < 0,01. Hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di Hotel Plataran Ubud, pihak hotel perlu memperhatikan beban dan lingkungan kerja, karena beban dan lingkungan kerja terbukti dapat mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan Employee performance plays an important role for the success of an organization. In order to carry out their duties and functions properly, factors that can affect employee performance are workload and work environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work environment on employee performance at Hotel Plataran Ubud. The data collection technique used was by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were employees of Hotel Plataran Ubud, totaling 38 employees. The respondents were selected using a saturated sampling technique or using the entire population as the research sample. Data collected from the questionnaires were then carried out quantitative analysis, including: validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing through the F test and t test. Load and work environment have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on performance with an F count of 38.438 and sig 0.000 <0.01. Workload has a partially significant effect on employee performance with a t value of 2.802 and sig 0.008 <0.01. The work environment has a partially significant effect on employee performance with a tcount of 3.133 and sig 0.000 <0.01. These results indicate that to improve employee performance at Hotel Plataran Ubud, the hotel needs to pay attention to workload and work environment, because workload and work environment are proven to affect employee performance.

Abstract

Karyawan merupakan aset yang sangat penting untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatka kinerja karyawan adalah pemberian kompensasi yang layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pemberian kompensasi finansial dan non finansial secara parsial dan simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan Best Western Kuta Villa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Quota Sampling dimana menggunakan 41 orang karyawan tetap hotel Best Western Kuta Villa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda, analisis determinasi, uji T, dan uji F. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kompensasi finansial dan kompensasi non finansial secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai F hitung 9,492. Kompensasi finansial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,159. Kompensasi non finansial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,814. Kompensasi finansial dan kompensasi non finansial memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,3% terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 66,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian ini. Employees are a very important asset to achieve company goals. One way to improve employee performance is to provide proper compensation. This study aims to determine how the effect of partial and simultaneous provision of financial and non-financial compensation on the performance of Best Western Kuta Villa employees. The sampling technique used is Quota Sampling which uses 41 permanent employees of the Best Western Kuta Villa hotel. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, determination analysis, T test, and F test. From the research results it is known that financial compensation and non-financial compensation together have a significant effect on employee performance with an F count of 9.492. Financial compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t value of 2.159. Non-financial compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-value of 3.814. Financial compensation and non-financial compensation have an effect of 33.3% on employee performance, while the remaining 66.7% is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

Pada masa era globalisasi saat ini, manajemen hotel harus menerapkan program- program pelatihan untuk karyawan guna meningkatkan skill dan pengetahuan yang berdampak terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis pelatihan yang digunakan serta implikasinya terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan di Desamuda Villas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu Human Resources Manager (HRM), front office supervisor dan karyawan front office serta menggunakan teknik purposive sampel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi serta teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu Miles dan Hubberman. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa jenis- jenis pelatihan di Desamuda Villas adalah perawatan diri (grooming), menyambut dan melayani tamu (welcoming and serving guests), etika berkomunikasi bagi front office, etika bertelefon (telephone manner), manajemen waktu (time management) dan mengatasi tamu komplain (handling complain). Adapun Implikasi dari pelatihan tersebut pada motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan adalah berdampak baik. Namun, kinerja karyawan pada pelatihan mengatasi tamu komplain (handling complain) kurang berdampak baik. In the current era of globalization, hotel management must implement training programs for employees to improve skills and knowledge that have an impact on work motivation and employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of training used and its implications for work motivation and employee performance at Desamuda Villas. The population in this study is Human Resources Manager (HRM), front office supervisor and front office employee and uses a purposive sample technique. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, literature study and documentation as well as analytical techniques used, namely Miles and Hubberman. The results of this study indicate that the types of training at Desamuda Villas are grooming, welcoming and serving guests, communication etiquette for the front office, telephone manners, time management and time management. Overcoming guest complaints (handling complaints). The implication of the training on work motivation and employee performance is a good impact. However, the employee's performance in the training to deal with guest complaints (handling complaints) did not have a good impact.

Abstract

Sistem Operasional merupakan cara melakukan suatu pekerjaan yang dibuat secara terurut untuk memastikan kegiatan operasional berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan yang berlaku. Tujuan pembuatan SOP adalah untuk menjelaskan perincian atau standar yang tetap mengenai aktivitas pekerjaan yang berulang-ulang yang diselenggarakan dalam suatu organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sistem operasional Housekeeping Departement di Grand Serela Yogyakarta dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi housekeeping dalam menjalankan sistem operasional. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini kualitatif dengan observasi dan wawancarai kepada beberapa informan yaitu dua staf dan 2 trainee di departemen housekeeping. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem operasional di Hotel Grand Serela Yogyakarta dalam meningkatkan pelayanan sudah diterapkan sesuai dengan SOP yang ada dihotel, meskipun masih ada beberapa yang belum sesuai dengan SOP. Kendala-kendala yang dialami dalam sistem operasional ditambah kembali seperti alat-alat cleaning yang digunakan agar bisa lebih efisien dalam pengerjaan kamar dan pengawasan untuk staf/trainee dalam menerapkan SOP hotel. Operational System is a way of doing work that is made in an orderly manner to ensure operational activities run well and in accordance with applicable regulations. The purpose of making SOP is to explain fixed details or standards regarding repetitive work activities organized in an organization. This study aims to find out how the operational system of the Housekeeping Department in Grand Serela Yogyakarta and the obstacles faced by housekeeping in running the operational system. The research used in this study was qualitative by observing and interviewing several informants, namely two staff and 2 trainees in the housekeeping department. The results showed that the operational system at the Grand Serela Hotel Yogyakarta in improving services has been implemented in accordance with the SOP in the hotel, although there are still some that are not in accordance with the SOP. Obstacles experienced in the operational system are added again such as cleaning tools used to be more efficient in room work and supervision for staff / trainees in implementing hotel SOP.
