Abstract

The internship program is an activity for students to apply knowledge, attitudes, general and specific skills in the workplace. The duration of this internship is a minimum of 6 months and can be extended according to the provisions or agreement between the original institution and the Internship Workplace. Students must be guided by internal supervisors from lecturers and external supervisors from the Internship Workplace. The purpose of this paper is to find and take an inventory of several businesses as partners in the implementation of student internships at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Santo Thomas Catholic University, Medan. Literature research on ideas was reviewed, various literatures were collected and analyzed descriptively. This study shows that there are several businesses that can be used as student internship partners. Such as multi-language internships in Altissia - Belgium, IT Internships at Smartinternz - Singapore, Hospitality Internships in Hotels in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Australia countries, and Internships on Cruise Ships. This program is to encourage students to be able to master various competencies and this program is expected to enable students to improve the competence of graduates, both soft skills and hard skills, to be ready with the needs of the times and prepare graduates who are superior, moral and ethical.

Abstract

Implementation of green open space policy in the utilization of public space in Medan City. Implementation of Green Open Space (RTH) policy in Medan is quite complex, including uneven distribution of RTH, poor facilities and infrastructure, minimal supporting facilities for comfort, and incompatibility with the area of ??land used for RTH. problems. Legally and regulatoryly. This study uses a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that: 1. The number and nature of RTH in Medan City have not met the needs of the community. 2. The product of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2015 concerning Detailed Land Use and Development of Medan City in 2015-2035 is not implemented in accordance with other similar regulations. 3. Participation of the Medan community in making the RTH policy a success is still part of the program.

Abstract

College is a more complex gateway and focuses on a particular field of expertise. Therefore, it is only right that in finding a college there are many measuring indicators, depending on the priorities of each individual. Although education is not only obtained in the classroom, the way to explore students' potential needs to be done because the world of work which is a phase of life that actually depends on what they currently have. The Community Service that we carried out in Batubara Regency in collaboration with the Regional Education Office Branch V of Batubara Regency, the event "Socialization of Strategies for Choosing a College to Continue Further Studies for Students in Batubara Regency" went well and there was a very high-quality two-way interaction from the interaction it was revealed that this socialization event provided information and guidance to students so that they could make the right decision about the college they wanted to enter In the event, students and principals got an overview and additional insight that college or higher education is a further stage after completing high school (SMA) or equivalent. In college, a person will gain deeper knowledge and understanding about the field of interest. However, there are still many of us who do not understand the importance of college. The methods used in this activity are lectures, discussions, and questions and answers about problems related to the Socialization of Strategies for Choosing a College to Continue Further Studies for Students in Batubara Regency. In this socialization event, participants held discussions and listened to socialization lectures that were packaged in the form of power point slide sheets and videos so that they could understand and comprehend the Strategy for Choosing a College to Continue Further Studies for Students. This is planned to be carried out continuously for this stage will be carried out within 1 year.

Abstract

Karya arsitektur disamping bentukan setting fisiknya didalamnya terkandung berbagai makna yang disajikan bagi penggunanya yang untuk penikmatannya bisa dipersepsi secara meluas hingga memunculkan makna beragam. Namun arsitektur bak mata uang bermuka ganda. Sisi yang satu mempersilakan tampilnya aneka persepsi dari pengamat sedang sisi lain secara layak sebagai alat untuk memanipulasi, memaksakan makna tunggal yang dilandasi ‘kuasa’ kepentingan tertentu. Desain Lapangan Taman Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya sebagai hasil kolaborasi penguasa dan cendekiawan mewakili kepentingan disatu sisi dan hasilnya untuk kepentingan masyarakat disisi lain. Apa yang tersembunyi dibalik tindakan kompromi kepentingan ini menjadi menarik bila ditinjau dari sudut pandang pengamat dan perencanaan dalam konteks perubahan makna . Penjelajahan dilangsungkan terhadap dinamika perancangan dan perilaku nyata yang berlangsung pada setting fisik Lapangan Taman Tugu Pahlawan. Dengan perspektif demikian diharapkan timbulnya pemahaman yang memberagam tentang makna desain dan tempat kawasan Tugu Pahlawan . Makna baru ataupun yang telah lama ada namun mungkin teredam, tersembunyikan oleh adanya hegemoni sistem terhadap kehidupan sosial sebagai suatu representasi wajah kebudayaan pasca-modern kontemporer.Kata Kunci : Perubahan Makna, Lapangan Taman Tugu Pahlawan

Abstract

Kota sebagai cermin dari suatu masyarakat tidak lepas dari keberadaan bangunan-bangunan bersejarah yang merupakan identitas suatu kota. Perencanaan ruang yang tidak melihat karakteristik daerah berupa budaya, rona lingkungan dan budaya setempat dapat menimbulkan bencana langsung maupun tidak langsung bagi penghuninya. Identitas yang dimiliki kota Medan dari segi bangunannya tidak lepas dari arsitektur Melayu. Bangunan arsitektur Melayu bercampur dengan gaya kolonial Belanda. Ini merupakan bukti sejarah bahwa pengaruh Belanda terhadap politik dan ekonomi di Medan sangat besar sekali. Arsitektur rumah Melayu menerapkan konsep lingkungan yang sehat, artinya memanfaatkan alam terbuka sebagai pendukung keserasian dan kesatuan antara bangunan dan lingkungannya. Hepcan mengatakan pemanfaatan jalur hijau dengan menggabungkan antara ruang terbuka dengan ruang tertutup secara langsung ataupun tidak, memiliki nilai ekonomi dan rekreasi dapat merangsang urusan bisnis lokal. Fenomena ini terjadi pada lapangan Merdeka atau Merdeka Walk sebagai wujud implementasi pemanfaatan jalur hijau. Adanya pemanfaatan jalur hijau tidak lepas dari desain arsitektur yang berkelanjutan. Chiotinis mengatakan arsitektur berkelanjutan (sustainable architecture) bertujuan menjaga ketahanan lingkungan, sumber daya alami, ekosistem, yang memberikan nilai sejarah untuk perlindungan dan pemeliharaan yang kesinambungan. Melestarikan salah satu contoh budaya yang kuat dengan menerapkan di dalam wujud bentuk yaitu. penandaan, ruang promosi unsur-unsur yang melekat di dalam sejarah atau dari bangunanKata kunci: publik space, arsitektur kota, arsitektur berkelanjutan
