Abstract

Abstract: Elderly at high risk of experiencing sleep disorders due to age-related pathological and physiological processes that cause changes in sleep patterns, one of which is insomnia. The process of dementia can begin in the fifties or earlier. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of insomnia on dementia / senile dementia in the region of Sukoharjo Regency. Subject and Method: This type of correlative descriptive study uses a cross sectional study design. The sampling technique used was puposive sampling with a sample of 29 elderly. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test. Results: Analysis of the SPMSQ measurement: insomnia had a negative effect on dementia, every 1% of insomnia scores would increase by-.446 dementia / senile scores (b <0.01, CI95% <0.00-0.00) the effect of insomnia on dementia by 45 , 8% and statistically significant (p <0.001). Results of analysis with MMSE measurement tools: insomnia has a negative effect on dementia / senility, every 1% decrease in insomnia score will increase by-.778 dementia / senility score (b <0.01, 95% CI, <0.001-0.01), effect of insomnia on senility by 30.7% and statistically significant (p <0.001).Conclusion: Insomnia affects dementia / senility.Keywords: insomnia, dementia, elderly  Abstrak:Lansia beresiko tinggi mengalami gangguan tidur akibat faktor proses patologis dan fisiologis terkait usia yang menyebabkan perubahan pola tidur salah satunya insomnia. Proses demensia dapat dimulai pada usia lima puluhan atau lebih dini. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh insomnia terhadap demensia/pikun pada lansia di wilayah Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Subyek dan Metode : Jenis penelitian deskriptif korelatif menggunakan  rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan puposive sampling dengan sampel 29 lansia. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi liner sederhana.Hasil :Hasil analisis dengan alat ukur SPMSQ: insomnia berpengaruh negative terhadap demensi/pikun, setiap 1% skor insomnia akan meningkatkan sebesar-.446 skor demensia/pikun (b<0.01,CI95% <0.00-0.00) pengaruh insomnia terhadap demensia sebesar 45,8% dan secara statistic signifikan (p<0.001). Hasil analisis dengan alat ukur MMSE: insomnia berpengaruh negative terhadap demensia/pikun, setiap penurunan 1% skor insomnia akan meningkatkan sebesar-.778 skor demensia/pikun (b<0.01, CI 95%, <0.001-0.01), pengaruh insomnia terhadap pikun sebesar 30,7% dan secara statistic signifikan (p<0.001).Simpulan :Insomnia berpengaruh terhadap demensia/pikun.Kata Kunci : insomnia, pikun, lansia.

Abstract

The death rate of Covid-19 cases is influenced by congenital diseases, one of which is hypertension. Good knowledge and attitude to prevent Covid-19 can demonstrate health maintenance behavior. Self-management of hypertension that is applied in daily life can help maintain stable blood pressure so that it will reduce the risk of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of knowledge and attitudes to prevent COVID-19 on hypertension self-management behavior in Sukoharjo village. This type of research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 42 people who had hypertension. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. Results: there is a significant positive effect between knowledge of Covid-19 prevention on hypertension self-management behavior. Every 1 increase in knowledge of COVID-19 prevention scores will increase by 0.01 the hypertension self-management behavior score (b<0.01, 95% CI<0.01-0.01). There is a significant positive effect between the attitude of preventing Covid-19 on hypertension self-management behavior. For every 1 increase in the Covid-19 prevention attitude score, the score for hypertension self-management behavior will increase by 0.06. (b<0.06, 95% CI<0.01-0.06). Conclusion: knowledge and attitude to prevent covid-19 affect hypertension self-management behavior.

Abstract

Signs and symptom that arise due to hypertension cause sleep pattern disturbances.Relaxation techniques that can be applied include progressive muscle relaxation and lavender aromatherapy candles. The purpose to describe the nursing management of sleep pattern disorders with progressive muscle relaxation and lavender aromatherapy candles in the elderly with hypertension. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The results of the study found that the subject said headaches, neck felt heavy, dizzy, shoulders felt heavy, had difficulty sleeping well, maintained sleep, started sleeping, sleep hours ± only 3.5 - 4 hours, woke up at night 3-5 times, tired after waking up, sleepy during the day, uncomfortable when sleeping and sometimes nightmares. The objective data: there are eye bags, the sclera is reddish white and area around eyes is black, the subject looks lethargic, BP: 160/100 mmHg - 170/100 mmHg, RR: 18 - 20 x/minute, N: 96 -98 x/min, S: 36 - 36.8ºC. The nursing diagnosis is sleep pattern disorders related to age and disease. Planning: teach progressive muscle relaxation and giving lavender atomotherapy candles. Nursing actions for 8 days with 7 actions. The evaluation the subject said that he was sleeping soundly, not disturbed, sleep was 4-5 hours, BP: 140/80 - 150/80 mmHg, the value of Insomnia Rating Scale: 23-24 (mild insomnia). Progressive muscle relaxation and lavender aromatherapy candles are effective for improving sleep quality but have not been able to overcome the problem of sleep pattern disorders.
