Abstract

Edem Ceramic merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pembuatan keramik yang memiliki persoalan dalam mengurangi jarak perpindahan antar fasilitas dan keinginan penambahan fasilitas galeri. Rancangan dengan metode Automated Layout Design Program (ALDEP) digunakan untuk kontruksi ulang tata letak dengan penambahan fasilitas galeri yang dipilih dengan kriteria nilai Total Closeness Rating terbesar. Hasil usulan ALDEP dapat mengurangi jarak perpindahan, sehingga ongkos material handling yang dihasilkan sebesar RP 282,603. Rancangan tata letak usulan dapat meminimasi ongkos material handling 68,862 % dari ongkos material handling existing layout.   Kata kunci: tata letak fasilitas, ALDEP, ongkos material handling   ABSTRACT Edem ceramic is a company that produces ceramic, which has a problem in reducing the moving distance between its facilities and wanting to add the gallery facility. The new layout with addition of the gallery, designed with Automated Layout Design Program (ALDEP) method, is used to repairing the existing layout, which is chosen by biggest Total Closeness Rating value. The result with ALDEP method can reduce the moving distance, resulting the new material handling cost Rp 282,603,-. The new layout can minimize the material handling cost to 68,862% compared to material handling cost from the existing layout. Keywords: layout facility, ALDEP, material handling cost
