Abstract

The research arises from the need that was seen in people in recent years due to COVID-19, since remote medical care was required to avoid contagion, that it was developed with the Flutter tool and it is oriented towards telemedicine, which provides a medical evaluation service between patients and doctors. For the development of the methodology, the agile methodology of extreme programming "XP" was implemented, since it is of great help for the development of the system, the proto-types, and their different phases, since, compared to other methodologies, XP was the that gave more results in less time, which allowed us to have a faster development. The objective of the research is to implement a multiplatform system oriented to expert telemedicine. It has been possible to develop a basic demonstration of the system that would be the video calls, one of the most important functions of the entire system, and its operation has been effective as has been demonstrated in the results of this project, in which it was carried out carried out a survey of 50 questions and 95% agreed with the multiplatform system, since it would be of great help for several people.

Abstract

Due to the events caused by COVID-19, several activities were paralyzed, such as the export of camelids. In the present study, it was observed that many of the camelids that are located in the highest of the Andes, are exposed to diseases that originate from climatic changes or from the infrastructure in which they are inhabiting. For this reason, the veterinary mobile application for camelids was implemented, which will help care as well as sanitary control, this application was developed through the agile scrum methodology, since it adapts to the various modules used, which would be consulta of diseases, recommendations for breeding and contacts with veterinary experts. As a result, the optimal mobile application was obtained for the needs of the people who live in that sector. In addition, it made it easier for the farms, as well as for the people who are in the frozen areas, so that they have better care and control of this species of animals, since the camelids are part of the fauna of the Andes and above all all its fiber and its derivatives are exported, which generates great economic sustenance for that sector.

Abstract

Universities, called entities with the responsibility of training new professionals and contributing to continuous knowledge for human development through research, seek to increase their scientific production and climb positions in research rankings. In this sense, research management is necessary and knowing which  information and communications technology tools help in this task is a great help. The main objective of this work is to identify the  information and communications technology tools that help to perform a good research management and implement a system based on Robotized Process Automation to generate a scientific information system for the University of Sciences and Humanities, for this research work was used the cascade methodology which provided several advantages and support for the structure and development of the system, for the process of the system was used the UiPath tool which is considered the best process automation tool. As a result of this research work, a system was obtained that drastically reduces the data collection time to evaluate the scientific production of researchers, thus allowing a better research management.

Abstract

Currently, student research at the university under study is carried out from the first semesters until the student graduates, but it is necessary to make adjustments to its guidelines that include student research within a teaching-learning process. The objective of the research is to propose a model of student research, using causal diagrams and forrester diagram; then carry out a simulation of the projection from 2021 to 2026 with the variables, students, quality teachers in the research, completed work for publication in journal or conference; and thus index in Scopus or Web of Science. Besides, in the methodological part, the systems dynamics method was applied, based on the systemic approach. The research work is predictive, which was carried out with the Vensim software, obtaining as a result of the simulation, an increase in the production of complete Works by the students; where in 2026 around 300 articles will be published by the students. In addition, there will be about 12 full-time quality research professors and approximately 6,000 students in 2026. The conclusion reached in the research is that the model helps the authorities make decisions appropriately according to the forecasts made in the different scenarios made with the Vensim software.

Abstract

Water quality is an important topic for countries like Peru, where the mining sector is one of the main economic activities, so the study of its impact on water quality is also necessary to have a regular control of benefits and dangers. In this way, to achieve this objective, the chosen methodology was grey clustering, which is based on artificial intelligent theory. Specifically, the central point triangular whitening weight function better known as CTWF, which is an approach from grey clustering, was used. The case study was focused on the Mashcon and Chonta rivers, located in the province of Cajamarca, Peru, these rivers are directly affected by an open pit mine. The study was carried out taking into account thirteen monitoring points taken by National Water Authority (ANA). The results showed that all the points considered were classified as not contaminated, A1 category, this using the parameters of the Peruvian government. With these results, the mining company was able to demonstrate that they are taking the water quality into account and that they are making an effort to keep these rivers as healthy as possible.

Abstract

Currently, Peru is one of the countries with the highest levels of citizen insecurity in Latin America, and its capital is considered the thirtieth most populated city in the world, thus being one of its territories with the highest percentage of citizen insecurity, providing a poor quality of life to its citizens as they feel unsafe when passing through different places and being victims of any criminal act. Therefore, this research work is developed to support this problem through the implementation of a mobile application that manages and controls citizen insecurity. Applying the research method based on design and scrum methodology, which together generate greater control over changes during project development. In addition, resources and the support of different tools were used for its study and execution, such as marvelApp for the design and prototyping of the mobile application and android studio. Obtaining highly viable results for the support of citizen security through a suitable and fully viable mobile application.

Abstract

In Peruvian Universities, most of the Moodle platforms and the Zoom videoconference were used in virtual teaching-learning. The teachers and students of the University of Sciences and Humanities, which is the object of study, used these tools in the class session. Moodle and Zoom complement each other for virtual classes during the pandemic time. The objective of the research is the influence of Zoom and Moodle on learning skills. The methodological design of the research has correlational scope, quantitative, non-experimental approach of cross-section. A survey was conducted of 95 students from the first cycles of the university. The instrument was validated by expert judgments with 86.3% approval. In addition, reliability was performed with Cronbach's Alpha, obtaining the value of 0.875. A p-value of 0000 was obtained as a result and the degree of correlation between Moodle and learning skills was 0.438** and Zoom with learning skills was 0.519**; determining in this way that there is a moderate positive significant correlation. It is concluded that the development of learning skills that correspond to digital skills, the communicative and cognitive part is due to the use of the Moodle platform and the Zoom videoconference in the learning sessions.

Abstract

In the research, education, and awareness were focused on as essential pillars to successfully address the problem of reducing solid waste. The objective is to implement educational and awareness solutions within the community to encourage a substantial change in behavior toward the reduction of solid waste. The design thinking methodology was applied to develop effective solutions. To measure the level of public awareness, we conducted interviews using the Atlas ti22 which allowed us to triangulate with the surveys that revealed that 60% of those surveyed agreed with the policies regarding environmental impact, 55% agreed that the authorities take preventive measures regarding public health and 58% stated that the participation of the citizens in recycling programs. Then, innovative prototypes were developed that satisfied the real needs of users and experts in their evaluation, thus laying a solid foundation. It was concluded that citizens as well as authorities must be aware that by working collaboratively, we can contribute to society.

Abstract

Accurately identifying diseases with similar symptoms, especially in resource-limited medical settings, is a key challenge to diagnostic accuracy. This paper presents a preliminary diagnostic system to address the challenge of diagnosing diseases with similar symptoms. The system has been implemented using the PyQt5 library and employs a unique symptom identification algorithm developed in Python. Furthermore, to carry out the diagnosis, it uses comma-separated values (CSV) and excel files as databases where the diseases and their respective symptoms are stored. The results show that the system has a precision of 95%, a sensitivity of 90%, and a specificity of 93% after evaluating 35 clinical cases covering seven diseases with similar initial symptoms, namely: dengue, zika, chikungunya, COVID-19, influenza, monkey-pox, and the common cold. Furthermore, the positive evaluation of the technical performance of the system by experts supports its practical feasibility and its potential as a valuable tool in medical practice. In conclusion, the system diagnoses diseases by analyzing the symptoms of the information file, highlighting its usefulness in improving the diagnostic accuracy of similar cases and optimizing medical care for the benefit of patients.
