Abstract

This writing is aimed to analyze the translation procedure of the translation product in bilingual text. There were four bilingual (English-Indonesian) texts taken from BBC Indonesia news as data source. The data was collected randomly by reading and taking notes of the text. The selected data were analyzed based on theory of translation procedures to identify and classify the types of translation procedure used in the text. The result of this study shows that the mostly method of translating is literal translation and transposition. They were used to transfer the meaning of the authentic text from SL into TL accurately, acceptability and readability in order to make good translationThis writing is aimed to analyze the translation procedure of the translation product in bilingual text.
