Abstract

Hypertension is a medical condition often associated with high blood pressure, and if not properly managed can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Although pharmacological treatment has become the standard in managing hypertension, non-pharmacological therapies such as music therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological approach that has the potential to strengthen the management of this disease. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of music therapy as an intervention in hypertensive patients. The conceptual framework used is by collecting some literature that discusses the same topic by looking at research abstracts. There are 3 database sources used to search for literature, namely Proquest, Science Direct, clinicallkey and Wiley journals. Music therapy is one of the alternative therapies or non-pharmacological therapies that can be used as hypertension therapy. This music therapy can be a guideline and recommendation for nurses to apply to patients with hypertension, besides that, people with hypertension can use music therapy independently.

Abstract

Antenatal care is an essential service in reducing maternal mortality. However, several studies have shown that distance, cost, time and quality of service affect the decline in ANC visits. For this reason, technology-based innovation (telehealth) is needed to overcome this. The aim was to evaluate the impact of using telehealth on increasing the number of antenatal care visits.  The method used was PRISMA from electronic databases: Scopus, Clinical Key Nursing, Science Direct and Proquest. The results showed that telehealth can expand the range of services, is effective, efficient and flexible in terms of cost and time, and there is no significant difference in the quality of the examination results. In conclusion, through easy access and more efficient costs offered by telehealth, it has a positive impact on increasing the number of antenatal care visits. This also has implications for the world of nursing, not only expanding maternity services but continuing to adapt to the massive development of technology to welcome the era of Society 5.0

Abstract

The number of elderly from year to year continues to increase, this has a significant impact on health services. The significant addition of the elderly and the worsening of the situation including decreased health, altered emotional status, inability to do activities independently make some people consider the elderly a burden. Objective: Providing ideas and ideas from the results of literature review on the implementation of E-health-based technology to improve the health status of the elderly, using smartphones to measure elderly activities, security and safety of the elderly. The method used in this research is literature review with keywords namely "technology", "elderly", and "degree of health". Searching for academic journals through Online Databases including: Science Direct, Google Scholar, ProQuest and clinical key from 2015-2022. The results of the review of 10 journals that discuss the technology of monitoring the elderly remotely via smartphones can be concluded if the development of technology to monitor the development of the elderly remotely is very satisfying because it can help caregivers and health workers in monitoring activities, the state of the elderly, and minimizing adverse events. It is hoped that future researchers can examine the ability of users to apply technology and user preparedness and costs in using this technology.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of falls in the elderly has become a global health issue. The development of wearable electronic device technology is able to monitor daily activities, measure step counts, physical activity levels, and even sleep patterns of the elderly, while providing early warnings when changes occur that may increase the risk of falls. The aim is to see the effectiveness of using wearable electronic devices in preventing the risk of falls in the elderly in the community. PICO in this study is Population: Community-dwelling elderly, Intervention: wearable electronic device, Comparisons: none, and Outcome: fall prevention. Researchers used 3 search data sources, namely Embase, Pubmed, and Science Direct. The inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study are literature published in electronic data sources from 2018-2023, is a type of quantitative research, the elderly population in the community, English language and available in full text. This literature review includes ten articles that discuss the utilization of wearable electronic device technology, the types of wearable devices used include Inertial Measurement Units (IMU), biosensors, and accelerometers to evaluate the mobility, gait, and balance of the elderly. This literature review shows that wearable electronic device technology can effectively detect falls and motorize the incidence of falls in the elderly

Abstract

Dementia is a disorder that results in a decline in memory and cognitive function, and can interfere with daily activities. There needs to be interventions that can help prevent dementia, and one effective intervention is memory games, that can be accessed through devices such as smartphones and computers with animations and sounds that help improve memory performance and can be used for early screening of dementia symptoms.  The purpose of  this literature review is to explore the benefits of brain training apps and computer – based cognitive training as nursing interventions to improve cognitive function and prevent dementia in elderly. Method : used in this literature review is systematic study by collecting and analyzing relevant literature related to the research topic. Keywords used are dementia, elderly, brian-memory game, memory game, app-based game, virtual reality, cognitive impairment. Academic journals were searched through online databases such as ClinicalKey Nursing, Google Scholar, Proquest, ScienceDirect, and EMBASE from 2015-2023. Results : this Literature Review show that brain training apss and computer based cognitive training can be effective nursing interventions to improve cognitive function and prevent dementia in the elderly. Several articles analyzed show that brain training apps and computer-based cognitive training can help improve cognitive function in the elderly, especially in terms of memory and attention. In addition, brain training apps and computer – based cognitive training can also help prevent dementia symptoms in the elderly and improve their quality of life by increasing their ability to perform daily activities. Conclusion : Nurses and healthcare professionals can utilize brain training apps and computer-based cognitive training as one way to improve the quality of life for the elderly. However, it is important to note that brain training apps and computer-based cognitive training should be tailored to the needs and characteristicts of the elderly to provide optimal benefits.

Abstract

Elderly people who experience sleep disturbances result in deterioration of disease conditions, fatigue, weakness, increased risk of falls, psychological disorders, and decreased quality of life. Poor sleep patterns trigger insomnia events such as difficulty maintaining sleep. The use of technology has been widely used in overcoming the problem of sleep disorders, one of the implementations used by the Voice of Insomnia application is an android-based application as a relaxation music therapy to overcome sleep disorders or insomnia and is expected to reduce the use of drugs as a stimulus by people with insomnia. The purpose of this literature review is to explore the benefits of implementing the Voice of insomnia application on the quality of elderly sleep. the method used in this literature review is a systematic study by collecting and analyzing relevant literature related to the research topic. Academic journals were searched through online databases such as science direct, Scopus, Google Scholar, Pubmed, Clinicalkey Nursing from 2015 to 2023. The results of literature review from several journals provide information on the benefits of using android-based technology, especially in people with insomnia as an alternative option to improve the quality of elderly sleep. Interventions using android-based technology can improve sleep quality and reduce the incidence of insomnia in the elderly. Voice of Insomnia application as an android application in the form of relaxation music therapy for people with sleep disorders or insomnia.
