Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of community empowerment through health education on self-medication for cough and the utilization of herbal remedies in Wawobeau Village, South Wawonii, Southeast Sulawesi. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this research emphasizes the active involvement of the local community in every stage of the empowerment process. The findings indicate that the education program significantly enhanced the community’s knowledge and skills in managing minor health issues, particularly coughs. Before the intervention, many individuals either ignored symptoms or relied on inappropriate treatments. However, after participating in the program, the community became more proactive in seeking proper solutions, whether through the correct practice of self-medication or the use of locally available herbal remedies. The participatory approach ensured that the information was not only received but also internalized and applied by the community, leading to behavioral changes. Overall, this study highlights the importance of community-based health education as a means of knowledge transfer and a tool for fostering collective awareness and responsibility in maintaining public health. The findings suggest that such initiatives contribute to improving the overall quality of life in the region.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of the profit-sharing system in Islamic banking through the application of mathematical models and digital technology. Profit sharing is a fundamental principle in Islamic finance that emphasizes justice, transparency, and blessings in financial transactions; however, its practical implementation often encounters challenges related to complex calculations and limited technological support. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how mathematical models and digital technologies can enhance the effectiveness and transparency of profit-sharing mechanisms in Islamic banking. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review and document analysis to examine relevant theories, previous studies, and current practices. The findings indicate that the application of mathematical models improves the accuracy of profit distribution calculations and supports more efficient decision making processes. Furthermore, the integration of digital technologies, such as blockchain and big data, significantly enhances transparency, strengthens public trust, and expands financial inclusion, particularly for communities in remote areas. Nevertheless, issues related to data security, digital literacy, and Sharia compliance remain key challenges. Overall, this study concludes that the synergy between mathematical approaches and digital technology plays a crucial role in strengthening a sustainable, transparent, and equitable Islamic financing system aligned with the objectives of Sharia (maqashid shariah).

Abstract

This article discusses strategies and challenges of Islamic da’wah in integrating mathematical education values in the digital era, with perspectives from Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Ushul Fiqh, and Maqasid al-Shariah. Amid the rapid development of information technology, Islamic da’wah faces the challenge of reaching the younger generation, which is increasingly exposed to various digital information. One effective approach is to utilize mathematics education as a medium for da’wah, connecting scientific concepts with religious teachings. This research employs a qualitative case study method to explore the strategies and challenges of Islamic da’wah in this context. Data is collected through in-depth interviews with da’wah leaders, educators, mathematics education practitioners, and audiences involved in mathematics-based da’wah. Additionally, document analysis will be conducted on da’wah content disseminated through digital platforms such as social media, websites, and applications. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews and observations, with data analysis carried out using thematic analysis. This article explores various strategies for integrating Islamic religious values through mathematics learning, as well as challenges that may arise, such as differences in understanding, limited resources, and the need to adapt to constantly evolving technology. By leveraging digital technology, da’wah can be delivered in ways that are more relevant and engaging for the younger generation, allowing religious and scientific education to go hand in hand.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how shared reading activities between parents and children are associated with early childhood literacy development. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted at TK Wulil Amri over a three-month period. Participants consisted of six children, six parents, and two teachers who were directly involved in shared reading practices. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using thematic analysis through systematic coding and triangulation of data sources and methods. The findings reveal recurring patterns indicating that children who regularly engage in shared reading with their parents tend to demonstrate emerging literacy behaviors, including letter recognition, vocabulary expansion, early reading comprehension, and increased interest in books. In addition, shared reading activities appear to foster positive emotional interactions between parents and children, contributing to a supportive home literacy environment. These findings suggest that parent child shared reading may serve as an important supportive strategy in promoting early childhood literacy development when implemented consistently and interactively within the family context.

Abstract

The integration of coding into early childhood education has gained increasing attention as digital literacy becomes an essential competency in the twenty-first century. However, empirical studies examining how game-based coding activities contribute to creativity development among young children remain limited. This study aims to explore how game-based coding instruction influences creativity in early childhood education settings. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted at TK Wulil Amri, an early childhood education institution that has implemented game-based coding in its learning activities. Participants included children aged 5–6 years, teachers, and parents. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that game-based coding activities support children's creative development by encouraging divergent thinking, problem-solving, and exploratory learning behaviors. Children actively experimented with different coding possibilities rather than merely following instructions, demonstrating initiative and imaginative engagement in the learning process. This study contributes to the emerging field of digital learning in early childhood education by highlighting the potential of game-based coding as a pedagogical strategy to foster creativity in young learners. The findings also suggest that developmentally appropriate educational technologies can play an important role in supporting creative learning environments in early childhood education.
