Abstract

Human beings will not escape from engaging in transactions that coexist with the diversity of traditions and cultures, such as the Sinoman tradition. Sinoman is a tradition of mutual assistance and borrowing of goods carried out for the purpose of various needs, such as haj atan events, weddings, and circumcision ceremonies. The aim of this research is to understand the practice of the Sinoman tradition in the Tlogorejo Village, Wonosalam District, Demak Regency, and to examine the perspective of Islamic economic law in the practice of Sinoman contributions implemented through Qardh agreements. The research also aims to explore how the agreement is conducted in cases where one party is financially incapable, leading to pressure and losses. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature, aiming to describe the Sinoman tradition in the implementation of qardh agreements. The results of this research indicate that the Sinoman practice using qardh agreements, when viewed from the perspective of Islamic economic law, aligns with the principles of Sharia economic law and the jurisprudential norms of transactions.
