Abstract

ABSTRACT: In tall building structures with a framed-tube structural system, the role of shear walls is most efficient in reducing the effect of lateral loads. A simple analytical calculation method using the Zalka method was developed to calculate the natural frequencies of tall building structures with a continuous system model consist of frames, shear walls, and cores. This continuous system model in tall building structures can be replaced by the idealization of cantilever beam structures with fixed-free end support conditions which represent the overall characteristics of the tall building structures. The aim of this research in this paper is to investigate the extent of the accuracy and efficiency of the results of natural frequency of 30 stories reinforced concrete building structure with the continuous system model above using the Zalka method compared to the SAP 2000 output. The results of this research are expected to provide in-depth insight into the effectiveness and the the readiness of the Zalkas method in determining the natural frequency of tall building structures due to lateral loads. Based on the results of this research, it was found that the natural frequency of a 30 stories reinforced concrete building structure using the Zalka method has error value equal to 4,884% compare to output from SAP 2000. This error value still in the range of acceptable value equal to 7% and shows us that Zalka method has acceptable accuracy.Keywords: Free Vibration, Natural Frequency, Tall Building, Frames-Tube System, Shear WallABSTRAK: Pada struktur bangunan tinggi dengan sistem struktur rangka-tabung, peranan dinding geser paling efisien dalam mereduksi pengaruh beban lateral. Metode perhitungan analitik sederhana menggunakan metode Zalka dikembangkan untuk menghitung frekuensi natural struktur bangunan tinggi dengan model sistem menerus yang terdiri dari rangka, dinding geser, dan inti bangunan. Model sistem menerus ini pada struktur bangunan tinggi dapat digantikan oleh idealisasi struktur balok kantilever dengan kondisi tumpuan jepit-bebas yang mewakili keseluruhan karakteristik pada struktur bangunan tinggi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian dalam penulisan ini adalah menyelidiki sejauhmana akurasi dan efisiensi hasil analisis frekuensi natural struktur gedung beton bertulang 30 lantai dengan model sistem menerus di atas menggunakan metode Zalka dibandingan hasil luaran (output) SAP 2000. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang efektivitas dan kesiapterapan metode Zalka dalam penentuan frekuensi natural struktur bangunan tinggi akibat beban lateral. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh frekuensi natural struktur gedung beton bertulang 30 lantai menggunakan metode Zalka memiliki nilai kesalahan 4,884% dari hasil luaran (output) SAP 2000. Nilai kesalahan ini masih dalam batas yang wajar yaitu 7% dan menunjukkan bahwa metode Zalka mempunyai akurasi yang dapat diterima. Abstract

AbstractBased on SNI 03-0691-1996, paving block is a building material composition made from the mixture of Portland cement or similar hydraulic adhesives, water and aggregate with or without other additional material that will reduce the concrete quality. The burned rice husk ash will be used in this research. It aims to produce strong, environmental friendly and economical paving block. With the use of rice husk ash percentages as cement substitution are 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The paving block mechanical characteristic test includes compressive strength, water absorption, and paving block shock resistance. This research is done at the designed age 7, 14, 21, and 28 of concrete. This result shows that the paving block with 5% of rice husk ash variation has compressive strength increased every designed paving block ages. Compressive strength test results are 32,85 Mpa, 37,92 Mpa, 39,55 Mpa, and 41,19 Mpa consecutively. Water absorption test resulted in an increased of paving block water absorption in every variation reach 6,77%, 7,32%,8,98%, 9,05%, and 9,30%. While for the shock resistance test did not increased with the adding of rice husk ash with the average blows are 4,33, 4,33, 4,33 and 4,67 blows every designed age until it caused the paving block cracked and broken.Key word: rice husk ash, paving block, compressive strength, water absorption, shock resistance.
