Abstract

The opposition plays an important role in monitoring government policies and programs or in fulfilling checks and balances. However, the opposition parties in parliament have always been in the minority along the long road of Indonesian populist democracy. This situation weakens the control function and widens the gap to uphold the will of the people. There are opposition parties which have always been a minority group in parliament which is even worse if the decision-making cannot be resolved by a joint decision. If this happens, the minority opposition forces cannot influence government policies. Consequently, when the votes of the parties in a coalition supporting the government have dominance in determining public policies, this will result in policies that are usually authoritarian in nature.

Abstract

Football is a separate form of entertainment for the community, many think that the atmosphere without football sometimes becomes boring. Basically, football represents love where everyone really wants to see their idol players, football clubs and some styles of football. Many people make football as a source of income. However, there are still many political elites who use it as a political arena to enhance the reputation of individuals or groups. Such a model justifies the existence of political actors in football, so that football matches are sometimes like matches between factions or groups that politicize each other.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi Pasar Lama sebagai pusat ekonomi multikultural bagi komunitas Tionghoa dan Muslim di Kota Tangerang. Dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dari Stanley Deetz. Teori yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini mencakup teori multikulturalisme dari Bikhu Parekh dan juga teori hak teritori wilayah dari Moore. Teori ini digunakan untuk melihat bagaimana suatu kelompok terikat dalam suatu wilayah. Temuan penelitian mengungkap adanya interaksi dalam ekonomi antara masyarakat Tionghoa dan Muslim di pasar tersebut. Tidak ada batas wilayah yang secara formal diatur oleh pemerintah, tetapi terdapat suatu jalan yang mayoritas diisi oleh pedagang Tionghoa, hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa pedagang Tionghoa beradaptasi dengan menempatkan dirinya meski tanpa peraturan khsusus yang mengatur hal tersebut. Maka pasar lama menjadi wadah terjadinya integrasi ekonomi multikultural antara pedagang Tionghoa dan Muslim
