Abstract

The use of BIM in Indonesia is not optimal even though BIM has been around for a long time in Indonesia. In this regard, it is necessary to carry out research related to evaluating the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) on construction projects in Sumbawa. This research aims to determine the extent of the development of the adoption of Building Information Modeling in Sumbawa. This research uses quantitative data collection methods by distributing questionnaires. Project implementation in Sumbawa currently still uses conventional software such as Autocad for drawing design, Microsoft Excel for volume and cost calculations and Microsoft Project for scheduling. Everything is still done in a paper-based manner and many things end up being wasted because there are changes that occur throughout the construction process. With conventional methods still being used in construction implementation in Sumbawa, there are still many problems that occur in construction implementation. According to the analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of building information modeling in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, in general is still not going well and there are still several problems. The main problem that occurs is that there is no synergy between project elements because service users and service providers do not fully understand Building Information Modeling
