Abstract

Personality competence is a skill or ability that must be possessed bysomeone, especially the teacher. Some of the competence of teachers isalready owned by PAI teachers in Syarif Ar-Rasyid Islamic SchoolMedan's Integrated Islamic Elementary School. But there are also thosewho have not implemented personality competence fully, as seen there are teachers who have not been mature, meaning that they cannot prioritize obligations over their personal interests, and there are still teachers whoare not respected by their students and there are still teachers who seemindifferent to problems or problems faced by learners, and still appear tobe undisciplined in the time or hours of entering class. This affects thepersonality of students at SDIT Syarif Ar-Rasyid Islamic School. Good orbad personal learners, depending on the good and bad personal teacherwho guides them. This research is located at SDIT Syarif Ar-RasyidIslamic School which is located at Jalan Menteng VII No. 186 Medan City.The type of research used is a type of qualitative research, namely the typeof research that examines data that can describe complex and concretesocial realities. Qualitative research is a research procedure that generatesdescriptive data about people through written or spoken words andobservable behavior. The results of this study are that compliance with theRepublic of Indonesia Law No. 14/2005 concerning Teachers andLecturers at the Syarif Ar-Rasyid Islamic School Integrated IslamicElementary School Medan. PAI teacher at SDIT Syarif Ar-Rasyid IslamicSchool has not met the standards as intended in the Law of the Republic ofIndonesia Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers article 10paragraph 1. The indicators which have not been fully implementednamely; (1) a stable and stable personality; (2) mature person. There arealso some additional indicators that exist in the PAI teacher at SDIT SyarifAr-Rasyid Islamic School Medan, including: (1) devotion (doing Ibadanconsistently); (2) attention to students; (3) getting along with studentsgently; (4) do not smoke.

Abstract

This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods, which are based on the focus to reveal that qualitative research is about various events that occur in the hope of obtaining real data and truly describing the actual situation in the object under study. SDIT Syarif Ar-Rasyid Islamic School is an institution located at Menteng Street 7 Number 186, Medan Denai District, Medan City. The results are based on research and discussion, so the key is that the preparation of PAI teachers in carrying out learning is quite challenging. This can be seen from the document prepared by the teacher, namely the planned mode learning implementation plan. Barriers to daring learning in PAI Subjects at SDIT Syarif Ar-Rasyid Islamic School, namely: (1) Students are still classified as children, so using online learning applications requires parental guidance. This has an impact on the absence of students, where learning activities are gathered together with the activities of parents; (2) There is no learning support media that is considered effective for carrying out bold learning activities. Thus, PAI learning is only carried out through the WhatsApp Video Call application.

Abstract

Educational values of Islam today is getting late in the tumult of various changes that are the result of the influence of globalization. Globalization has become a historical necessity that many challenges also opportunities in education that will shake up the order of the culture, customs, and values of the noble teachings of Islam. Therefore reformatting the theory and practice of education should be carried out and balanced, so that Islamic education is not passive as a spectator instead of a player, as consumers rather than producers. Islamic education also must perform and portray themselves as agents of change while strengthening Islamic identity.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of Al-Quran tahfiz learning. The implementation of learning consists of aspects of planning, learning activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for Tahfiz Al Quran Juz 30 in group B at RA Asy-Syuhada Purbasari. This type of research is descriptive. The subjects of this research included group B tahfiz teachers, the RA Asy-Syuhada school principal, and 21 group B children. The object of this research is the implementation of Al-Quran tahfiz learning in group B. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show; (1) the planning carried out by the teacher in learning Al-Quran tahfiz through unwritten planning from teacher meetings and written planning in the Daily Activity Plan, (2) implementation of Al-Quran tahfiz activities is carried out in two forms of activities, namely group activities and tasmi activities. Group activities are carried out by dividing children into two groups based on their memorization ability. The teacher dictates verses one by one to the children in a classical manner. The child listens to the teacher's reading, then imitates the teacher's reading repeatedly until the child pronounces it fluently. Tasmi activities are carried out by combining all group B children, then the teacher gives instructions to the children to repeat the letters that have been memorized individually, in groups or classically, (3) the assessment is carried out by observing the children individually when repeating the memorization using anecdotal note assessment tools and checklist.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di MTs Khoirotul Islamiyah Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik triangulasi data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode diskusi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, terutama dalam hal analisis, evaluasi, dan penyusunan argumen. Namun, terdapat kendala berupa partisipasi siswa yang tidak merata, di mana siswa yang lebih pasif cenderung kurang terlibat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi tambahan untuk mendorong keterlibatan aktif seluruh siswa dalam diskusi. Secara keseluruhan, metode diskusi dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis jika difasilitasi dengan baik oleh guru.

Abstract

The practice of implementing the value of moderation in madrasas still faces a number of challenges. Some of them are teachers' limited understanding of the concept of moderation in depth, pressure from certain conservative groups, and the negative influence of social media that often spreads intolerance narratives. This shows that strengthening the value of religious moderation in education requires a comprehensive and sustainable strategy. Based on the description above, the researcher is interested in further analyzing the Values of Religious Moderation at MA Al-Ittihadiyah Medan. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach and the subjects involved are school principals, PAI teachers and students. Based on the results of data analysis, this study reveals that the values of religious moderation taught at MA Al-Ittihadiyah Medan include the principles of tolerance, peace, diversity, and respect for differences. The novelty in this research is that there are supporting factors in strengthening the values of religious moderation at MA Al-Ittihadiyah Medan, including the commitment of madrasah leaders, such as the Head of Madrasah, who actively conveys messages of nationality and diversity on various occasions.

Abstract

Qualitative research is an approach to understanding human phenomena, culture, and social processes based on the perspective of the subjects studied, so that it can provide deeper meaning to the problems that occur. The design, type, and methods applied are adjusted to the objectives and characteristics of the problem, including ethnography, case studies, document studies, natural observations, phenomenology, grounded theory, historical studies, and biographies, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis focuses more on interpretive and inductive processes, so that it is able to explore the relationships and meanings behind the data, and is useful for more mature decision making and policy formulation.

Abstract

This research seeks to find out how the implementation of independent learning on an independent campus is implemented by Syaif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation, with primary data sources coming from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Chairperson of Quality Assurance Agency, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Faculty of Sharia and Law and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Faculty of Science and Technology. Data analysis uses a flow of activities, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The study found that ‘Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka’ implementation at UIN Jakarta faces challenges in curriculum alignment and partner engagement, but also presents opportunities for enhanced student autonomy. In addition, this research can provide added value to partner institutions, especially Universitas Islam Negeri in Indonesia, by providing in-depth analyses of the best way to combine national policies with local and religious needs at Universitas Islam Negeri.
