Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the problems that have occurred in public and private junior high schools in Bandar Pasir Mandoge District, namely regarding teacher professionalism which is still relatively low. This research aims to determine: (1) the magnitude of the influence of innovation in increasing teacher professionalism; (2) the magnitude of the influence of teacher performance in increasing teacher professionalism; and (3) the magnitude of the influence of innovation and teacher performance together in increasing teacher professionalism. The population in this study were all public and private junior high school teachers in Bandar Pasir Mandoge District, namely 70 teachers. The entire sample was taken from the population, namely 70 people by taking samples by census. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The research results show that: (1) The results of testing the first hypothesis concluded that there was a positive influence between innovation on teacher professionalism of 41.25%; (2) The results of testing the second hypothesis can be concluded that there is an influence between teacher performance in increasing teacher professionalism by 57.61%; and (3) Innovation and teacher performance together have a positive influence in increasing teacher professionalism by 65.12%. Thus, the findings of this research support the opinion that the interaction between teacher performance and innovation has a direct positive effect in increasing teacher professionalism. Based on the results of hypothesis testing which accepted the three proposed research hypotheses as described above, a Theoretical Model of Teacher Professionalism was found which is the development of several theories describing the causalistic relationship between research variables that determine teacher professionalism which is the development of several theories, especially the Integrative Model of Organizational Behavior of Colquitt, LePine, and Wesson. Thus it can be stated that the innovation variable will result in increased teacher professionalism and also the teacher performance variable will result in increased teacher professionalism. Keywords: Innovation, Teacher Performance and Teacher Professionalism Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang selama ini terjadi di SMP Negeri dan Swasta Se Kecamatan Bandar Pasir Mandoge yaitu tentang profesionalisme guru yang tergolong masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) besarnya pengaruh inovasi dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru; (2) besarnya pengaruh kinerja guru dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru; dan (3) besarnya pengaruh inovasi dan kinerja guru secara bersama-sama dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMP Negeri dan Swasta Se Kecamatan Bandar Pasir Mandoge yaitu 70 orang guru. Sampel yang diambil seluruh dari populasi yaitu 70 orang dengan mengambil sampel secara sensus. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Hasil pengujian hipotesis pertama disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara Inovasi terhadap Profesionalisme guru sebesar 41,25%; (2) Hasil pengujian hipotesis kedua dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara Kinerja guru dalam meningkatkan Profesionalisme guru sebesar 57,61%; dan (3) Inovasi dan Kinerja guru secara bersama-sama mempunyai pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan Profesionalisme guru sebesar 65,12%. Dengan demikian temuan penelitian ini mendukung pendapat bahwa interaksi antara Kinerja guru dan Inovasi berpengaruh langsung positif dalam meningkatkan Profesionalisme guru. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis yang menerima ketiga hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan sebagaimana telah diuraikan di atas ditemukan suatu Model Teoretis Profesionalisme guru yang merupakan pengembangan dari beberapa teori menggambarkan hubungan kausalistik antar variabel penelitian yang menentukan profesionalisme guru yang merupakan pengembangan dari beberapa teori, utamanya Integrative Model of Organizational Behavior dari Colquitt, LePine, dan Wesson. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa variebel inovasi akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya Profesionalisme guru dan juga variabel kinerja guru mengakibatkan meningkatnya Profesionalisme guru. Kata kunci: Inovasi, Kinerja Guru dan Profesionalisme Guru
