Abstract

This paper aims to identify trends and research mapping on the Influence of social media on the Success of Election Campaigns that have concerned academics and practitioners. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a literature study approach. The data found were 258 documents, which were then analyzed. This dataset was converted to CSV format, imported into Bibliometrix, and analyzed. The findings in this study show that the success of election campaigns is not only related to social media factors but also to the successful integration of various strategic elements in the political process. Social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Telegram, are the main channels for delivering political messages directly to voters. This success also depends on the capacity of candidates or political parties to utilize social media effectively.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of noble family victories on voter turnout in the 2018 Bone Regency elections, focusing on how social, economic, cultural, and political factors contribute to determining the outcome of these elections. This study uses a quantitative approach through the distribution of questionnaires to the people of Bone Regency to explore their perceptions of the role of noble families in Pilkada. Data management was conducted using SmartPLS (SEM-PLS) software. The results show that all four factors have a positive and significant influence on voter turnout, confirming that the involvement of noble families is a symbol and a force capable of mobilizing community support. The findings suggest that noble families still play an important role in local politics, utilizing their extensive social networks, strong cultural influence, and economic and political support to maintain their dominance in the political arena. Their victories in local elections demonstrate the continuation of traditional political patterns rooted in local culture, albeit in a modern democratic context.

Abstract

This paper aims to identify trends and map research on the role of influencer marketing in digital political campaigns, which has been a focus among academics and practitioners. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a literature review approach. The study found that influencer marketing has increased significantly between 2019 and 2023, successfully building credibility and reaching a wider audience on social media platforms. However, challenges include the spread of false information and the polarization of public opinion. The study concludes that influencer marketing can encourage voter participation and improve political literacy, but ethics and transparency are crucial to maintaining public trust. This research provides strategic insights for maximizing inclusive, data-driven digital political campaigns.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of Social Status, Economic Status, Political Affiliation of Parents, and Organizational Experience on the Empty Box Discourse in the 2024 Maros Regency Regent Election. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through distributing questionnaires to the public in Maros Regency to explore the relationship between variables and the empty box phenomenon in implementing regional elections. Data processing was carried out with the help of SmartPLS software using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique. The results showed that the emergence of a single candidate in the 2024 Maros regional head election was caused by the community's lack of courage to run for office, which was influenced by the strong dominance of incumbent candidates. Furthermore, people's political participation in the election is analyzed through four main variables, all of which positively affect the empty box discourse. Thus, all hypotheses in this study are accepted.
