Abstract

ABSTRAK   Latar belakang : Dalam dunia olahraga sepakbola 40 % atlet sepakbola memiliki asupan energi kurang. Begitu juga dengan asupan gizi pada atlet beladiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memetakan dan mengembangkan kompetensi ahli gizi bidang olahraga. Metode : penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Narasumber yang digunakan akademisi/ pakar gizi olahraga, pelatih dan pengurus organisasi profesi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan  snowball sampling. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ahli gizi bidang olahraga merupakan bagian dari lulusan ahli gizi, belum ada keahlian khusus yang diperoleh secara formal untuk bidang keahlian tersebut.  Keahlian dasar seperti gizi dasar, biokimia, dan fisiologi tentu menjadi mutlak dikuasai oleh seorang ahli gizi olahraga. Kemampuan ahli gizi olahraga secara umum adalah kombinasi dari 3 cabang mainstream ilmu gizi saat ini, yaitu gizi klinik, gizi institusi, dan gizi masyarakat. Simpulan : kemampuan ahli gizi olahraga secara umum adalah kombinasi dari 3 cabang mainstream ilmu gizi saat ini, yaitu gizi klinik, gizi institusi, dan gizi masyarakat.   ABSTRACT Background: In the world of soccer sports 40% of football athletes have less energy intake. Likewise with nutritional intake in martial arts athletes. The purpose of this study is to map and develop the competencies of nutrition experts in sports. Method: this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Resource persons used by academics / sports nutrition experts, trainers and administrators of professional organizations. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Results: The results of the study show that nutritionists in sports are part of a nutritionist graduate, there is no special expertise that has been formally obtained for the field of expertise. Basic skills such as basic nutrition, biochemistry, and physiology certainly become absolutely controlled by a sports nutritionist. The ability of sports nutritionists in general is a combination of the three main branches of nutrition at present, namely clinical nutrition, institutional nutrition, and community nutrition. Conclusions: the ability of sports nutritionists in general is a combination of the three main branches of nutrition at present, namely clinical nutrition, institutional nutrition, and community nutrition.
