<![CDATA[This study is to find out the effect of Leadership Style and Job Description on both performance and discipline of Riau Provincial Education Department employees. The population of this study is all the employees (198 person) of Riau Provincial Education Department. The sample is 133 employees. The research data were analyzed by using descriptive and verificative methods. Descriptive analysis method is used to descript the characteristic of the respondents and the verificative method is used to test the research hypothesis by using relevant statistical tests. Meanwhile, verificative method in this research is so called path analysis. The result shows Leadership Style and Job Description have significant effect on the performance and discipline of the employees in Riau Provincial Education Department. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Deskripsi Tugas terhadap kinerja dan disiplin pegawai Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan (198 orang) Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau. Sampelnya adalah 133 karyawan. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Metode analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik responden dan metode verifikatif digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji statistik yang relevan. Sedangkan metode verifikatif dalam penelitian ini disebut analisis jalur. Hasilnya menunjukkan Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Deskripsi Tugas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja dan disiplin pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau.]]>
