PENGELOLAAN KESAN CALON GUBERNUR BANTEN “WAHIDIN HALIM” PADA MEDIA ONLINE TWITTER DAN FACEBOOK

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out how Wahidin Halim as the candidate for governor of Banten tomanage the impression on Twitter and Facebook as online media?. This research is adescriptive research with qualitative approach and using dramaturgy theory of Erving Goffman in dissecting the findings data. Through operationalization of dramaturgy theory Researchers found that there has been a massive impression management in the nomination process of Banten governor Wahidin Halim in Twitter and Facebook as social media. On the front stageof the impression management, WH is able to introduce himself as an experienced person, has integrity with the incision of his achievements, and convincingly can make changes to Banten with the vision and mission are always in the blow up through social media. In addition, the WH is also consistently able to immerse the memory strong enough in the minds of the audience with a style of dress that never changes during the nomination process, even since it was the mayor of Tangerang.Keyword: Wahidin Halim, Dramaturgy, Twitter, facebook, Online MediaABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pengelolaan Kesan Calon GubernurBanten Wahidin Halim pada Media Online Twitter dan Facebook?. Penelitian ini merupakanpenelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan meminjam teori dramaturgi ErvingGoffman dalam membedah data-data temuan. Melalui operasionalisasi teori dramaturgi Peneliti mendapatkan bahwa telah terjadi pengelolaan kesan yang masif dalam proses pencalonan Gubernur Banten H. Wahidin Halim di media sosial Twitter dan facebook. Di panggung depan WH mampu mengenalkan dirinya sebagai sosok yang berpengalaman, memiliki integritas dengan torehan prestasinya, serta meyakinkan dapat melakukan perubahan bagi Banten dengan visi dan misi yang selalu di blow up melalui media sosial. Selain itu, WH juga secara konsisten mampu membenamkan memori cukup kuat dalam benak khalayak dengan style berpakaiannya yang tidak pernah berubah selama proses pencalonan, bahkan sejak masih menjadi Walikota Tangerang.Kata kunci: Wahidin Halim, Dramaturgi, Twitter, Facebook, Media Online.
