KONSELING DAN PSIKOTERAPI PROFESIONAL

Abstract

Counseling is a process of face-to-face interviews between two people (the counselor and client) that aims to provide assistance to the client, so the client can solve the problem and more developed in the present life and future. While psychotherapy is systematically client-therapist interaction utilizing the psychological principle, to make changes to your thoughts, feelings and behavior of the client, with the goal of helping clients cope with abnormal behavior, solve problems and develop as an individual or. Equation counseling with psychotherapy are: (1) the goals of counseling and psychotherapy is the same, namely eksplorsasi self, self-understanding and action or behavior change, (2) counseling and psychotherapy aimed also try to eliminate self-destructive behavior (self-defeating) on the client, (3) both counseling and psychotherapy to emphasize the importance of the development and decision-making skills pembutan plan by the client, (4) the importance of interconnected between clients dankonseling or psychotherapist agreed as an integral part of the counseling process or psychotherapist. The difference is: (1) counseling and psychotherapy is viewed differently from the scope of understanding between them, (2) counseling focuses pasa development issues, education and prevention on the client. While psychotherapy is more focused on the problem of worship, adjustment and treatment, (3) counseling is run on the basis of (animated) by philosophy or outlook on humans, while psychotherapy is run by science or theory of personality and psychopathology
