DANGEROUS DRIVING BEHAVIOR DITINJAU DARI BIG FIVE FACTORS PERSONALITY

Abstract

Dangerous driving behavior adalah perilaku mengemudikan kendaraan bermotor yang mengarah pada bahaya. Tiap individu memiliki gaya tersendiri dalam mengemudikan kendaraan. Tinggi atau rendahnya tingkat bahaya individu ketika mengemudi dapat didasari oleh perbedaan faktor kepribadian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan dangerous driving behavior ditinjau dari Big Five Factors Personality pada pengemudi di Malang Raya (meliputi kota Malang, kota Batu, dan kabupaten Malang). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-tes yaitu skala The Dula Dangerous Driving Index (DDDI) dan skala Big Five Inventory (BFI) dengan model skala Likert. Jumlah subyek sebanyak 349 orang dengan rentang usia 17-25 tahun. Perhitungan analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah anova one way. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan dangerous driving behavior yang signifikan (F = 5,912; Sig = 0,000 < 0,01) ditinjau dari Big Five Factors Personality dengan extraversion memiliki rata-rata dangerous driving behavior paling tinggi (56,68) dan yang paling rendah adalah agreeableness (46,81). Kata kunci: Dangerous driving behavior, faktor kepribadian, big five factors personality Dangerous driving behavior is a behavior of driving vehicle which direct into danger. Every individual has their own style in driving vehicle. The high or low individual danger level when driving can be based on personality factor difference. The research purpose is finding out whether any difference of dangerous driving behavior from Big Five Factors Personality perspective in driver of Malang Raya (include Malang City, Batu City, and Malang Regency). The research uses non-test method, which is The Dula Dangerous Driving Index (DDDI) scale and Big Five Inventory (BFI) scale by Likert scale model. Research subjects consisted of 349 people with age range of 17-25 years old. Calculation of the statistical analysis used is Anova one way. The research shows there’s a significant difference in dangerous driving behavior (F = 5,912; Sig = 0,000 < 0,01) viewed from Big Five Factors Personality with extraversion has the highest dangerous driving behavior average value (56,68) and the lowest is agreeableness (46,81).
