<![CDATA[ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the role of school libraries in improving interest in reading high school students I Kintamani. The benefit of this research is expected to be a useful input for improving the quality school library function as a learning resource center in SMAN 1 Kintamani in the future. Library is a room used to store books and other publications that are usually stored according to a particular arrangement called the classification of grouping a book or other obiects into a class or a particular class. The school library is a library in the school as a means of education to support the achievement of preschool goals, primary education and secondary education. Collections in the library of SMAN 1 Kintamani are good enough, have supported the academic community in the field of education, but the new books must be updated and old books in the library needs maximum care because it is still in need by pemustaka as a means of information and refrensi. The results of this study found that the visit to the library (70 respondents = 27 %) the time to the library (75 respondents = 28.8%), the collection of interest (69 respondents = 26.5%), the number of collections in the read (79 respondents (21.9%), library influence on reading interest (107 respondents = 41.2%), students reading reading (74 respondents = 28.5%), collection utilization (99 respondents = 38%), reading interest (131 respondents = 50.4%) librarian helped find the collectonn (90 respondents = 34.6%), librarian gave guidance (109 respondents = 41.9%).
