Abstract

Abstrak Bahasa Wolio termasuk salah satu kelompok bahasa yang terdapat di kerajaan Buton, yang wilayah pemakaiannya di pusat pemerintahan Keraton Buton di Wolio, sekarang pemerintahan Kota Bau-Bau. Salah satu keunggulan bahasa Wolio dibandingkan kelompok bahasa lainnya di kerajaan Buton, bahwa bahasa Wolio memiliki sistem aksara sendiri yang diadopsi dari aksara Arab dan aksara Jawi. Bahasa Wolio menjadi salah satu bahasa resmi di lingkungan kerajaan Buton, selain bahasa Melayu dan Bahasa Arab. Dalam tradisi tulisan (naskah kuno), bahasa Wolio digunakan untuk menuliskan berbagai hal seperti Undang-Undang, ajaran agama Islam dan surat-menyurat di tingkat kerajaan. Abstract Wolio Language includs one group of language contained in the kingdom of Buton, its used in the central government in Wolio Buton Palace, now the government of Bau-Bau. One of the benefits Wolio language than any other languages group in the kingdom of Buton, that Wolio language has its own alphabet system, adopted from Arabic and Jawi script. Language Wolio become one of official languages within the kingdom of Buton, apart from Malay and Arabic. In the tradition of writing (ancient manuscripts), Wolio language used to write various things such as the Act, the Islamic religious teachings and correspondence at the level of kingdom.
