<![CDATA[ABSTRACT The success of treatment of hypertension requires adherence to dietary instructions and use the recommended drugs. Education about hypertension and the importance of adherence and side effects of drugs need administered to the patient. The purpose of this study is to determine whether any correlation between knowledge of drugs hypertensive class ACE inhibitor with patient compliance in therapy hypertension implementation. Sampling site is at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Samples taken were patients to treatment in the polyclinic internal and patients using drug class ACE inhibitors. Samples are identified using a chi-square (p<0,05). The results showed that there is a significant correlation between patients knowledge about classes of antihypertensive drugs ACE inhibitors with patient compliance in the implementation of the treatment of hypertension, obtained from the Pearson Chi Square test with p = 0,0001 (p <0,05) that stated that the presence of the relationship between patients knowledge about classes of antihypertensive drugs ACE inhibitors with patient compliance in the implementation of the treatment of hypertension.  Key words : Knowledge, Adherence, Hypertension, ACE Inhibitor    ABSTRAK Kesuksesan pengobatan hipertensi menuntut kepatuhan terhadap instruksi diet dan penggunaan obat yang dianjurkan. Pendidikan mengenai penyakit hipertensi dan pentingnya kepatuhan serta efek samping obat sangat perlu diberikan kepada pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan pasien hipertensi tentang obat golongan ACE Inhibitor dengan kepatuhan pasien dalam pelaksanaan terapi hipertensi. Lokasi pengambilan sampel adalah di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Sampel yang diambil adalah pasien yang melakukan pengobatan di poliklinik interna dan menggunakan obat antihipertensi golongan ACE Inhibitor. Sampel diidentifikasi menggunakan chi square (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan pasien tentang obat antihipertensi golongan ACE Inhibitor dengan kepatuhan pasien dalam pelaksanaan terapi hipertensi, dengan hasil uji Pearson Chi Square didapat nilai p = 0,0001 (p<0,05) sehingga dinyatakan bahwa adanya hubungan antara pengetahuan pasien tentang obat antihipertensi golongan ACE Inhibitor dengan kepatuhan pasien dalam pelaksanaan terapi hipertensi.  Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, Kepatuhan, Hipertensi, ACE Inhibitor]]>
