<![CDATA[Sea turtle is a group of reptiles that have a wide range of roaming, which inhabit tropical and subtropical seas around the world. Sea turtle is animal listed in CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). One of the turtle nesting places in North Sumatra is the coastal area of West Sorkam, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. Sea turtle distribution has done to know the location and general characteristics of turtle nesting location in West Sorkam District, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatera Province is done by purposive sampling. The research has been conducted from the end of April until the beginning of September in West Sorkam District. The method used in this research is survey method, that is by observation or direct observation. The data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that turtle nesting spots in West Sorkam District cover the four villages of Pasar Sorkam village, Madani village, Tolok Roban village, Binasi village and last seen time in 2017. Type of sea turtle found is Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea) on May and July 2017 meanwhile in June it is unknown because the eggs are sold by fisherman.Keywords: seaturtle, nesting, West Sorkam, distribution.]]>
