<![CDATA[Abstrak Kegiatan impor dilakukan untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi gula dalam negeri, termasuk di Sumatera Utara. Jumlah produksi gula Sumatera Utara yang rendah mengakibatkan jumlah impor meningkat, kenyataannya harga gula domestik cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan harga gula impor. Untuk melindungi produsen gula domestik pemerintah kemudian menetapkan tarif spesifik impor gula. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak impor terhadap harga gula domestik. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa impor gula berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap harga gula dometik Sumatera Utara. Kata Kunci: Harga Gula Domestik, Impor Gula, Tarif Abstract The activity of import is done to meet the needs of domestic consumption of sugar in North Sumatera. The low production of sugar in North Sumatera has caused the increase of import, but, in reality, the price of domestic sugar is higher than that of imported sugar. In order to protect the producers of domestic sugar, the government then establishes specific tariff of imported sugar. By using multiple linear regression analysis, this research was aimed to see the effect of sugar import on the price of domestic sugar.
