<![CDATA[Abstrak: Arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) merupakan salah arsitektur vernakular yang masih hidup dan berkembang di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Dalam pengamatan terhadap arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) menujukkan bahwa rumah Sabu perlahan namun pasti memperlihatkan adanya dinamika perubahan, baik bentuk, teknologi konstruksi maupun material bangunannya. Di sisi lain, sejalan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan seni arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) telah pula ditransformasikan pada perancangan arsitektur masa kini. Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana perubahan dan transformasi arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) dalam desain arsitektur masa kini. Guna menjawab permasalahan tersebut, maka survey dan pengamatan lapangan serta studi pustaka merupakan suatu keharusan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) telah mengalami perubahan, terutama bentuk, teknologi konstruksi bangunan dan material bangunannya. Arsitektur rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu) sudah ditransformasikan pada desain arsitektur gedung perkantoran di Sabu Raijua, namun sifatnya pragmatis dan belum didukung pengetahuan transformasi yang memadai.Kata kunci: dinamika perubahan; arsitektur vernakular; rumah Sabu (Ammu Hawu); transformasi arsitekturTitle: Dynamic Changes of Sabu House Architecture (Ammu Hawu) and Its Prospect in The PresentAbstract: The architecture of the house of Sabu (Ammu Hawu) is a vernacular architecture that is still alive and developing in East Nusa Tenggara. To answer these problems, the survey and field observations and literature study are a must in this research. The results showed that the architecture of the house of Sabu (Ammu Hawu) has changed, especially the shape, building construction technology, and building materials.
