Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study was the low of students? motivation to learn. The aim of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of the school environment and the role of the teacher on learning motivation. This study uses an explanatory survey method with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. Based on students' perceptions, it can be concluded that the school environment is in a quite supportive category, the  teacher's role is in the quite effective category, and learning motivation is in the moderate category. The results of the hypothesis test indicated that the school environment and the role of the teacher have a significant positive effect on learning motivation.ABSTRAKFokus permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh lingkungan sekolah dan peran guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey explanasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi ganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh berdasarkan persepsi siswa, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah berada pada kategori cukup mendukung, peran guru berada pada kategori cukup efektif, dan motivasi belajar berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil Uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah dan peran guru berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar.
