When it comes to general elections, each candidate will certainly pass the winning strategy by getting as much support as possible. This paper examines specifically the phenomena leading up to the 2019 general elections in Wonosobo, Central Java. Using the case study method by emphasizing the primary source of the interview results, this research confirms the existance of money politics. As is generally the case in other regions in Indonesia, transactional politics also become parts of the celebaration of democracy in Wonosobo. In addition, the public has indeed been carried away by the buying and selling vote because they are pragmatic in mind. This fact has been increasingly used by political elites to win votes by providing money and similar assistance.
